Someone made their own tracks where the highway ends. The road just stops dead. There’s a creek nearby that locals say has diamonds in it. Simple folk. The bridge is out and the chorus is missing a wisdom tooth. There’s a bar in the old upholstery shop where a band plays to the beat of people throwing bottles. Some say they are hungry. Others say they are already dead.
