Istanbul-based VLKN @vlknzr(aka Volkan) first got into electronic music as a teenager. In 2003, he first got behind the decks, and still prefers spinning vinyl to this day. His passion for music lead him inevitably to the production side, with his 2021 EP “Senses” released on Schallmauer Records. In addition to numerous guest mix invitations, VLKN curates an excellent regular SoundCloud podcast, “Analog Sessions”.

VLKN’s sound incorporates warm melodies, groovy basslines, with a touch of class. Be on the lookout for his future releases!

Solidary Sounds - Episode 35 – Luan Pugliesi

Luan Pugliesi @luanpugliesi, born in Salvador on July 29, 1998, had an early encounter with music.
From a young age, his mother took him to Rave parties in Salvador and other locations in Bahia, creating an environment where disco music was part of his daily life. These musical influences from childhood shaped his love for music and drive in his artistic journey.
Although choosing to dedicate himself to the production and presentation of Melodic Techno and Progressive House, Luan Pugliesi has a wide variety of musical and artistic influences. He draws inspiration from diverse artists such as Adam Ten, Solomun, Stan Kolev, deadmau5, Racionais Mc's, Red Hot Chili Peppers, A-ha, The Prodigy, Khen, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, among others. This diversity of influences is reflected both in his artistic approach and in his musical portfolio.
Since 2018, Luan Pugliesi has been professionally active in the underground electronic scene in Salvador and the metropolitan region. He has had the opportunity to perform alongside major artists from various musical styles, such as Vandal, Phantom, KOVA, Hacoon, among others. Additionally, in the 2000s, he became a recurring figure at the former venue 116° and
participated in raves held in the Hippie Village in the district of Arembepe, in the city of Camaçari/BA. He also performed at events that energized the nightlife of the state capital, such as 909 Movement, Inferninho Baiano, Pulse, em.off, Sollares, among others. These opportunities allowed Luan Pugliesi to perform in the main nightclubs in Salvador.
Luan Pugliesi has been gaining more space in foreign record labels and catching the attention of national and international artists. He has released his music on labels such as IAMT RED, Panda Lab, Café de Anatolia, Dear Deer, among others. He has received support and feedback from renowned artists such as Blancah, ZAC, Curol, Eelke Kleijn, Ziger, DJ Ruby, Alexey Sonar, Mariano Mellino, and Silver Panda, in addition to the
opportunity to share the stage with big names in electronic music.
With determination, talent, and a growing fan base, Luan Pugliesi continues to solidify his mark in the electronic music industry, bringing his unique and captivating sound to audiences around the world.

Global Beatz and Electronic Grooves since 2005

Munich based DJ and Producer Pakobeatz has been active in the cosmic disco scene for more than fifteen years now. Describing his sound as a "global tasting cocktail", he found his own style that reflects his varied interests in music. 
All kinds of influences, among them African rhythms, Brazil beats, house, disco, funk and electronic music, find their way into both his DJ sets and productions, creating something that is uniquely its own. 

After contributing a remix to the Midnight Dream EP published in 2010, his debut "From Earth to Space" was released on Beatz for Freakz Recordings in early 2012. It includes two originals - Dynamic Earth and Dynamic Space, hence the title - and two remixes by DJ Zeyhan and Vaan, both of them prolific producers themselves. Other releases followed like "Morgentau" and „Sound of Underground“, featuring the beautiful vocals of singer Nejma.

Since 2007 he is a member of Beatz for Freakz, a group of music lovers and DJs who have made it to their mission to create urban free spaces and bring some funk on the streets of Munich. Under the motto a party can be everywhere, Beatz for Freakz is hosting special events for special moments in all kind of weird locations, from old train bunkers to forests and bridges, there are no limits. 

In 2019 he joined the Bavarian online radio station RADIOBAV as an artist and extending the program with his Globalectric Soundselection Series. 

As a DJ, Pakobeatz is known for his energetic, driving sets that have served for many an ecstatic night on the dancefloor.
Over the years he has played in different locations like Postgarage Graz, Backstage, Babalu, Die Bank, Senatore Bar, BMW World, Stustaculum Festival and many many more.
