On August 22nd Rebekah returns to the fold with her second EP on Soma, following her 2015 debut ‘Confined Heart’. Staying true to her UK techno roots, the Berlin based artist delivers three monster cuts that exemplify her ferocious sound.

Title track ‘Anxiety’ has Rebekah firing on all cylinders as raucous synth sequences pulse through wild percussion, never seeming to let up and certainly taking no prisoners. ‘The Riddle’ continues with similar energy levels as Rebekah infuses pounding rhythms with straight up percussive elements, before taking a perfectly controlled dive into deeper elements - comprising short blasts of subtle pads that give a more emotive side to the track. ‘19 Grams’ rounds of the EP with a little more subdued start, but in true Rebekah fashion, the pace quickly intensifies as shattering hi hats and saw tooth sequences blast in, effortlessly held together by beautifully gliding pads that give a perfect structure. 

Rebekah delivers yet another excellently crafted EP that defines her sound as a producer and also a DJ.

As we gradually build toward the release of Rebekah’s debut album on Soma, the hard hitting DJ/producer drops her 3rd single in the shape of the Code Black EP. Rebekah is on somewhat of a frenzied run of form at the moment with not only an exhaustive touring schedule but a slew of releases that stand as a testament to her dedication to Techno. 

Title track Code Black hits the ground running with ice cold percussion and thunderous kicks running the show before a more jacking vibe is introduced backed by some seriously perilous pads. Disaster looms even more as Relapse Paradigm tears in next with clunking beats and straight percussive workouts as screeching synths and hooks give an overall foreboding atmosphere. X Confessions closes out the EP in no less vicious terms and Rebekah sets out on the warpath utilising pulsing rhythms and calamity inducing sequences to really rip into the dance floor.

With each release, Rebekah hones her skills and never fails to deliver her very best.

Premiere: Reform 'Checkmate' (Amelie Lens Remix)

After some releases on several interesting label in the techno scene, Reform make return to Etruria with their strong new ep called 'Checkmate", which includes two remixes from the Soma talent Charles Fenckler and the Belgian Amelie Lens . First original is a melodic track characterized by hypnotic synths which interchange everytime in the arrangement and also dirty and powered drums. Amelie version's express exactly her style, giving to the tracks something magic with the vocals added, making a very true and enigmatic game of chess. Second original instead is dominated by a strong pad, which fill up the mix, blowing up in the break and giving an epic feeling to the ensemble. Charles's remix is techno with no excuses: raw powerful and groovy, is the perfect end for this pack, giving a much more underground touch to the release.

The Galway native is quickly becoming Ireland's most exciting electronic music name, known for his hard-hitting tracks laced with old school samples and classic rave sounds. Now on the fifth edition The Blokk Vol.5 includes individual tracks from The Reactivitz, Stiv Hey, Nicolas Taboada, DJ Jock, Alex Lentini and Ace Alvarez.
Many of the artists on this release have already proven themselves on other high profile techno imprints such as Intec, Phobiq, Unity Records, Elevate, Terminal M, OFF Recordings and Loose Records.
Ace Alvarez opens the EP with the pounding kick drum and warping synths of his track “Instinct”. Next is the rattling percussion and dramatic bass stabs of Alex Lentini’s “Epilogue” before DJ Jock lifts things up a gear with the throbbing acid-line of his track “Distant Lands Of Unknown”. Not to be outshone, Nicolas Taboada keeps the intensity high with the fast-flowing percussion of his cut “The Train”. Stiv Hey brings a hint of euphoria to the EP with his atmospheric masterpiece “The Hunter” and saving the best till last, The Reactivitz closes the release with the driving force of "Keep Your Mind Clear".

I AM BAM is a talented artist who started his career as a session musician and songwriter working in different studios between L.A. and New York. Working in those studios he learnt skills from some of the world’s best producers, and experimenting with different ideas, has helped develop his compelling style of dark techno.

“You Know” opens the release with ethereal vocals that add to the trippy melodies and breath euphoria over the pounding percussion. Lifting the intensity, “Orbital” has warping synths and fast flowing rhythms that tantalise the senses. Dramatic and full of charisma “10X” has a spooky atmosphere perfect for capturing the imagination of the dance floor. Closing proceedings with bursts of energy and hypnotising tones, “Immersion” has the peak time sound that runs throughout this masterpiece of modern techno.

Renowned German DJ and producer ​Boris Brejcha has unveiled his hotly anticipated new album ​Space Diver,​ out​ 24th January​ via ​Ultra Music​.
SpaceDiveri​sanemotionally-charged,ten-trackjourney,with​Brejchamasterfully guiding the listener through an array of terrain. No fewer than three tracks from the LP have already been released as singles: there’s the hypnotic, recently released
   
‘Lieblingsmensch’​, trance-inflicted ​‘Never Look Back’ and melodic techno roller ‘Gravity’​, which features the vocals of Berlin-based singer-songwriter ​Laura Korinth​. Things are then closed out with ​‘To The Moon And Back’​, an expertly-crafted slice of what Brejcha refers to as ​‘High-Tech Minimal’​, with the album finding that sweet spot between energetic club cuts and relaxed home listening.

Following the internationally celebrated release of their debut album The Signs Within in 2017, burgeoning Japanese techno duo Drunken Kong look to kick off a brand new decade in emphatic fashion, as they announce the forthcoming release of their eagerly-anticipated sophomore long-player, Where We Start.

Due for worldwide release on February 10 via Christian Smith’s esteemed Tronic Music imprint, Where We Start marks the second full-length opus from the Tokyo-based outfit, whose impressive catalogue of unique techno productions have also been homed by the likes of Terminal M, Octopus Recordings, Stil Vor Talent and Session Womb to name a few.

Featuring a total of sixteen diverse cuts, including thirteen brand new Drunken Kong originals, two recent collaborations with Mainz-based outfit Teenage Mutants and one exclusive new collab with Tronic head honcho Christian Smith, Where We Start is Drunken Kong’s most extensive body of work to date, and goes a long way in showcasing the inexhaustible creativity of one of the most prolific double acts in techno right now. Label boss Spartaque comes back with a single in collaboration with another great Ukrainian musician and artist - Alan Wools! "Jupiter" was born during Alan's visit to Barcelona where they locked with Spartaque in the studio down for two days and did the experiments with the synth melodies. The track is pretty melodic for Spartaque's sound but works amazing with the crowd. The first time the track was tested at the "End Of The World" fest in Spain and the results were even better then could be expected.

David Granha debuts on Unrilis with a new EP that's made in collaboration with label favourite Hollen.

Along with many releases on Unrilis, Hollen has also worked with other high-flying labels such as Intec, Filth On Acid, Tronic, 100% Pure and his own Prospect Records. Equally as successful, David Granha's tracks can be found on Odd Recordings, Octopus, Noir Music plus Phobiq, and he connected with Hollen via a release on his label.

This is the first time the pair have collaborated on original music, and their joint output is nothing less than exceptional, as their dark and powerful techno tracks are the perfect fusion of epic melody and pounding percussion.

'Try To Do It' blends ominous pads and swelling tension with a twisted euphoria, before 'Braided' takes control with its dystopian sound design. The pulsating rhythms of 'Alliance' bring an end of the night vibe to the EP. It's closed out with an intro mix of 'Try To Do It' that's the perfect tool for opening a DJ set in compelling style.

Pako Marckx learned early on that the best way for him to express himself was through music. These days, the Belgian-based mainstay has perfected that art as a DJ and producer who connects with his ravers on a truly meaningful level. Whether laying down potent, eclectic blends of rave techno, acid,
psytrance or something in between, he likes to be up close and personal with his crowd so he can tease them, please them, touch their soul or get them into a trance that takes them out of the here and now.

Pako now sits at the forefront of the hard techno scene and is a regular in the world's most cultured clubs. Fabrik in Spain, Nexus in France and Fuse and Tomorrowland in Belgium are the sort of places he makes his mark. "I like to experience the rave as if I was in the crowd," he says of his driving, high-energy sets. Each one is a story with an underlying groove that keeps the crowd locked in, but always has plenty of variety in mood, texture and tempo to keep people on their toes and unknowing where they will be taken next.

Pako is half-Korean and half-Belgian and is the son of a Korean adoptee who reconnected with his extended family thanks to a Korean TV show. It's an extraordinary story which mirrors his own life in techno as he continues to make ever-deeper bonds with ravers all over the world.
