Any artist is welcome to send us a track via freshonthenet.co.uk anytime between Monday lunchtime and Thursday morning (or when we receive 200 submissions, whichever is sooner) - and all our moderators, including Tom Robinson, will listen to every track. If a track you submitted does not appear in this list, it’s probably because another of your tracks appeared in our Fresh Faves or on the BBC Music Introducing Mixtape during the last three months — we ask that artists featured on either wait three months before resubmitting to give others a chance. We also don’t accept short previews or SoundCloud GO tracks that can only be heard as 30 second previews, and tracks made private after submission, which cannot be included in playlists. You will be able to resubmit the track in future. Tracks that have been previously submitted and tracks from banned artists will also be removed.

'End of The Night' is the first single from A Place to Bury Strangers’ upcoming EP, Hologram. Released on APTBS’s newly formed label, Dedstrange, it’s a sonic return to the band's most dangerous sound. Bending fuzz guitars wrap themselves around a sonic story of betrayal and friendships destroyed, revealing an intimacy and attitude that is distinctly A Place to Bury Strangers. Debts are paid to the band's influences and it sounds like a biologically enhanced MBV being thrown into the futuristic and disturbing world of Philip K Dick.  “End Of The Night” serves as an abstract mirror to the moment we live in. Written and recorded during the on-going global pandemic and in the midst of the decline of civilization, “End Of The Night” is a sonic vaccine to the horrors of modern life.

Ruth wrote Way the Wind Blows when she was 12 years old. The lyrics reflect on missing her dad whilst growing up as he worked as a touring musician. Now 23, she has reimagined the song with her band, featuring guitars from James Cooke, recorded by Mark Lewis at Germanium Studios in Manchester.
