Hailing from Guadalajara, Mexico, LuisMi's passion for music led him on unexpected journeys. Growing up in the Mexican Caribbean, then moving to Florida, and later to Europe, he experienced a rich tapestry of multicultural experiences, embarking on an odyssey that immersed him in various facets of the music world.

In 2017, LuisMi co-founded "Tally Cartel," a micro-entertainment company and DJ duo that would soon make waves in the Tallahassee nightlife scene. Tally Cartel swiftly gained notoriety for hosting epic house parties reminiscent of "Project X" and forming collaborations with student organizations for tailgates and events. Their versatility as an open-format DJ duo earned them a place among Tallahassee's nightlife and led them to appearances at venues like Recess, Bajas, Standard, and Prive.

With more than 15 years of experience as a classical pianist, and a passion for composition LuisMi graduated from the prestigious College of Music at Florida State University in 2020, solidifying his commitment to musical excellence. His educational journey continued in 2022 when he sought to enhance his skills at the renowned SAE Institute in Amsterdam, specializing in electronic music production.

Today, LuisMi resides in the enchanting Netherlands, where he continues to craft his art, influenced by his diverse life experiences, and fusing different musical influences. He is committed to not settling for one “sound” but rather a multifaceted musical experience.
