Every Thread are an acoustic duo from Birmingham UK who, in the words of Left For Dead Records, ‘weave gorgeous melodies into lovely little nuggets of folky pop’.  They create a stripped-back, intimate sound with guitar, bass and female vocals.  Comparisons have been drawn to Everything But The Girl, Belle & Sebastian and Curved Air.  Self-produced debut album ‘Leaves’ reflects aspects of the live sound, alongside more expansive arrangements that transform live favourites into something new.

Jester from Telford make a welcome return to The Wakes, playing their version of Desert  Blues tinged with melancholic psychedelia. They've been busy on the Shropshire music scene along with their contemporaries Savannah and Middle Space.

Over the last few years, many small music venues up and down the country have closed, due to commercial pressures and lack of people willing to promote original new music. Pale Fire Music are not for profit music promoters, and our aim is to make The Firefly in Telford, Shropshire a vital venue to hear new and original music.
