@steno909 is 23 year old DJ from Groningen. 

He is the co-founder and co-owner of Spoken, a new electronic music concept in Groningen that aims to bring a new sound to the city. 

He wants to make his sets as diverse as possible and almost never wants to stick to just one genre or mood. He is inspired by
selectors that push boundaries and a sound that accompanies old school as well as new school.

The New Yorker/ Berlin based Curses is known for blending his Rock & Roll roots with the darker side of Disco & Electro. In both his DJ and live sets. Curses incorporates his ghostly vocals and guitar with flashes of EBM, New Wave, Post-Punk, and Psychedelic synth vibes.

Releasing selectively on well respected underground labels such as Bordello A Parigi, Throne of Blood, Ombra INTL. Relish, Curses also runs a Rinse France monthly radio residency showcasing artists who share a love for mixing wave and weird disco. Curses finally dropped a long awaited debut full length on Dischi Autunno in 2018.

Based in Groningen, NEUTRON focuses on surprising the listener by creating diverse and uncompromising sets, touching on different styles of electronic music, while keeping a constant groove that grabs the attention.

He co-founded SPOKEN back in early 2020 alongside Lucius, attracting to, promoting and getting inspired by artists on the platform that push the envelope of electronic music. Although he combines tracks from various eras and genres in his own sets, innovation and thinking outside the box have always been the main goal.

From disco to house, ANKA takes you into a world of funky and groovy sounds. They love retro classics and bouncy bassy bangers. For this guest mix, they have combined retro 80s-inspired breakbeat with indie dance.

As part of the feminist network "fem*vak" and the Leipzig (Germany) collective "Italo Fundamentalo", they organize the queer FLINTA party series "Disco Sprizz". For them, music is liberation and self-empowerment. Influenced by ballroom culture, they curate colorful and cross-genre sets - their aim is to heat up the dance floor and make people happy! <3

Transgression considers his music as his pure emotions. Being fond of particular aesthetic, the artist doesn’t leave anything to chance in his musical selection. Transgression thinks out of the box without being on the margins.

After a project in the industrial techno, Transgression got back his first influences, between Gesaffelstein, The Hacker, Vitalic or Boys Noize. As a result, the artist develops an identity where EBM’s blackness and melancholy meets Dark Disco’s groove and Techno’s depth, which lead him to share the decks with artists like B1980, Ascendant Vierge or Dave Clarke.

Transgression’s compositions are based on the storytelling, where sharp sonorities meet powerful kicks and driven basslines. His style is recognizable through thick tracks with multiple emotions between anger, resilience and assertiveness, as an invitation to let go our own feelings.

PDU Guest Mix 39 - TRANSGRESSION

In 1985 Dennis van den Berg (aka Dynamic D) became infected with the Italo Disco virus. Since then he has become a very famous Italo Disco collector and connoisseur.

After years of bedroom DJing, Dennis had his first DJ performance in 2015 and since then he has played at various parties and festivals in the Netherlands, Mexico, Germany, Poland and Finland.
Some examples are the IFM Festival / Best Kept Secret Festival / Melkweg / Brett / Oost / Kit Kat Club / Arkaoda / Beate Uwe / Hotel Europa / K-Bar Powiśle and the Flashback Italo festival.

Italo fans got to know Dynamic D from his Baldeejays Mixes that he made together with Peet Need, released by the Amsterdam Bordello A Parigi label. In 2018, Dynamic D became a resident DJ at Rotterdam's "Operator Radio" where he mixes his favorite music once a month. His sets include Italo Disco, Indie Dance and Electro.

A bromance in friendship and in music, that has been the foundation of Altizani.  In the past 10 years, Mauro & Tim’s musical journey kept on evolving as DJ duo. What started gimmicky as “The Cazzo Bros” rapidly changed into something beautiful called Altizani.

Over the past few years Mauro and Tim searched for their common sound. From disco to Italo and house to EBM it eventually resulted in something quite eclectic. Leaning towards the more arpeggio and synth heavy side of 80’s electronic music, they have developed their own unique sound as Altizani.

For the 9th installment of our series we have Guy_Steno with his vision on rolling techno. As an active member of the Groningse underground scene, he pushes 'the forever rolling sound' with his collective @spokengroningen. This mix is filled with multiple layers of ambient soundscapes, ominous synths, and that continuous pushing kick. It gives us some real Berlin basement vibes, which we love. Enjoy!
