Dutch edit maestro Pete Blaker debuts on RNT with a pair of extended play summertime heaters! LOVE AND DEVOTION has been a staple in Harvey’s sets this year, and for good reason; it’s quite simply a disco banger of legendary proportions that reaches peak after peak in the course of its nearly 16 glorious minutes. On the flip DISOC takes us on a deep and mystical journey, with pulsing bass, shimmery synth and guitar work, swirling strings building to a climactic vocal hook. Tracktober 021:  Captain Mushroom in C minor at 120BPM

Day 21 of my Tracktober challenge 🎃 — every day this month I’m writing and posting a track sketch. These are works-in-progress (WIP), not finished mixes (I only put max 2 hours into each one!) — the goal is to practice showing up daily, experiment with new ideas, and share the creative process openly instead of waiting until everything is “perfect.”

• Concept: Take a MIDI out of a sample and retinker it! 
• What I practiced: compositon, synth/sound design

• Imperfections: Much happier with how this one turned out, and i think it REALLY needs a fun melody—definitely want to play more later. 
• Influences: My burner bestie and favorite Cookie Monster Michael Lubrano, who knows that what doesn’t “do do do” makes you stronger. (iykyk)
