Plastique Sélection Vol.2 | Palmtrees & Flamingos | We Art Together

Tim called Monotype is a musician, composer and dj based in a small town near Leipzig in Germany.
His productions are very expressive and often have a melancholic character. The previous number of his releases keep within limits, but he does not have to hide with them. So he joins a compilation of the Brazilian musician Gui Boratto.
Tim performs with analog sound generators.

Palmtrees & Flamingos is a side project from Monotype with a sound defined by powerful drums and driving synths, heavily influenced by New Wave, EBM and the Italo Disco sounds of the 80´s. His sets are characterized by cosmic sounds reminiscent of a car ride in a cabrio under the palm trees towards the sun.
Formed in 2023, Palmtrees & Flamingos is also a part of the We Art Together family and performs Live and DJ sets.

DJ based in Kouvola, Finland. Navigating in darker, mutated disco-esque soundscapes. Drawing influence from Italo-Disco, New Beat, EBM and Synthwave; fitted into a contemporary Dark Disco framework.

Sound of distant synths and pulsating bass waves echoing through the dark, his distinctive sets are both haunting and captivating. Mysterious, atmospheric and drenched in 80's nostalgia. Like a fever dream under neon lights.
