300 mixes! What a journey. Big respect to those still listening since it all began back in the late 2000s, and a warm welcome to those who might just be tuning in for the first of hopefully a few more to come.

Thought it must be about time for another episode from Deepcast HQ, with Myles Mac & DJ Possum back in the mix for a relaxing journey guided by the eternal balearic breeze of the 90s. Two and a half hours of smooth summertime groovers with plenty of vocoders, utopian dream states and moments of total rave nostalgia. Dancefloor chillers for the deeply inclined and/or reclined. Sometimes we are inclined to take all the things that make up our culture a bit too serious, including ourselves. It seems that, as soon as we cross over to the other side of the PA and stand before the monitors, that seminal hedonistic drive that brought us there is consumed by the unrealistic needs of our high-demanding selves, so we end up stuck on details instead of having some good fun with it all. A bit of a contradictory dynamic, since what lies at the core of any decent experience of musical enjoyment is not careful oversight but cheerful delight, and the best among us, those who excel at making others revel, know quite well when to let these details unravel. Any artist that has achieved it will tell you that, when it comes to conducting a dancefloor, greatness is a byproduct of happiness more than a matter of fitness, which is exactly what we see, hear and feel whenever we experience the enrapturing sets a DJ with CC:Disco’s talents and sensibilities has to offer. Every mix of hers is a joyful journey where she guides us through varied soundscapes made of sonic material from all around the globe and woven with technical prowess. All indispensable qualities of everything we esteem and anything she sets herself to do, and her contribution to this series is no exception.

Trushmix 238 presents Sanctuary in the mix!
After their move from Australia, Sanctuary have been immersed in the Berlin scene for close to a decade, co-hosting the former Altered Soul Experiment nights and founding their label, Life Classics. The label started as a home for their edits, then later branched out into a mix series and club residency at OHM.

For Trushmix they made a one hour and forty minutes mix. House, deep tech and late 90´s top early 00´s on the menu. Loaded with firm favourites and a number of tunes we've been bumping in the clubs over the last few months. This one hits like a warm breeze so turn up the dial and roll off into the sunset.
