After the last acclaimed Pretty Eyes EP, and releases on Slow Town, Fly By Night and Messalina “Don” Riccio is back on Bosconi Extra Virgin with a new four tracker EP fully inspired by his new residence in the middle of the mediterranean sea and where all his palette of different styles has been included.
The record begins with the romantic vibe of the deep house and jazz-fusion oriented tune "Here You Are" , followed by the mid tempo jam of "Marcela" where its guitar notes will take your mind and your soul really so far to another level, then on the flipside a more balearic approach and a joyful-motwonish mood for the disco track "Please", as you will imagine yourself dancing on a ring around the rosey holding your hands with each other, praying as a hymn for peace and love in the whole world, while the mysterious vibe of the rolling late-night house groover "Tessie" closes up the EP with its shifting jazzy rhodes riffs, dramatic strings and cinematic atmosphere.

Rain battered against the window and left cascading droplets running down the pane, Chora watched elegantly from the corner of the room. She was sat perched upon a chair, watching delicately the way in which the world unfolded beneath the strain of the weather, this was the will of the sky. 

Modern House Quintet have been slowly building momentum, releasing music on their own imprint across a period of three years. The seventh outing for the duo sees them explore the deeply rooted sensibilities of club music.

Kicking things off we have the chilled vibes of “Pianoijazz” by Bilowi, a piano and saxophone blend with a lovely groove, great for warming up a house party. To mix in we have the filter funk of “Who R U” by Jazzy Rhythmer, classic dusty kicks and plucked bass notes define this beautiful beat.

Keeping up the pace is “She Uses VHS Filter App x Instgrm Stories” by Masot Quijada. His unique sound shines through in this soulful rhythmic track, guaranteed to get the dance floor twisting. To change up the style you can drop in the deep thudding drums of “Ignition” by FL.UU, with sharp percussion, this one is perfect to slip in any set.

Bringing up the BPM, we have “Nature” by Ssin, this track combines trumpet riffs and driven kicks to raise the roof of the party. Finally, we have the fast-paced composition of “Unstirred” by ZTP, a speedy house weapon which will have people raving.

@kansadomusic is a Dominican American producer, multi-instrumentalist, graphic designer and laid back introvert. He sits somewhere between jazz, latin music, and experimental hiphop. Currently exploring his Caribbean identity Kansado fuses future beats and afro-latin music to create an infectious combo of percussive genre bending sounds.

“Futuro” is spanish for future and “Tumbao” carries two meanings. One, a common rhythm found in afro- latin music, and two, swagger. Drawing inspiration from a backdrop of salsa, son, bachata and reggaeton Kansado’s Futuro Tumbao is a nod to his Caribbean heritage. Growing up in a Dominican household Kansado is no stranger to rhythm and percussion. As a kid his childhood home was filled with the sounds of some of the greatest Latin musicians of the last 50 years: Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, and Johnny Ventura to name a few. Over time his musical tastes ventured into new waters exploring the more experimental hiphop sounds of producers like Flying Lotus, Tokimonsta, and Nujabes.
Futuro Tumbao is Kansado coming full circle creating a bridge between these two phases of his life. Heavy 808s, mellow rhodes, trap snares, and bouncing synths meet percussive congas, rolling timbales and live trumpets to create a soundscape rooted in afro-latin soul presented in a futuristic package.

This is a rather old track of mine, i think i've started it somewhere around 2016 and found it again some weeks ago.

Expulze - Pain (2016)

Après leur première release, Underground Dubwise sortie en mai 2011, Mahom est de retour avec Dub by Sub, accessible en libre téléchargement chez Original Dub Gathering. Cet opus, résolument stepper, navigue entre dub français et dub UK. Fidèle à ses convictions, il invite à un voyage musical avec pour destination la protection de l’environnement !

Le travail de Mahom est riche des rencontres faites sur la route et quatre des neuf morceaux de la release sont donc naturellement des featurings.

Enrichie d’un mélodica, leur riddim Faso Feu qui fait le tour des soundsystems (Bamba - Daba Makourejah), est remixé dans une version « maison »: FasoDub !

Sur Lettre à la Planète, interlude directement inspirée et adressée à notre Mère Nature, Fedayi Pacha et son duduk donnent au riddim une dimension mystique.

Cyril (Tetra Hydro K) avec lequel ils ont partagé un bout de chemin lors du festival Subsonic en Roumanie, s’est laissé aller avec son mélodica inspiré sur le méditatif Rêve du chat.

Enfin, Mayd Hubb nous fait le plaisir de s’approprier le titre Tu me fais dubber la tête pour un remix explosif !

Cinq escales riches en surprises complètent l’album. Vous plongerez dans l’ambiance sombre de Fukushima. Tu me fais dubber la tête vous entraînera dans une trance enivrante. Another day vous tiendra en haleine tandis que Résistances vous entrainera dans une lutte infernale. Enfin, vous découvrirez la vision de Mahom du « warrior » stepper dans Woodpecker.
