In this age, humans have traded depth of experience for breadth of experience. In modern society information moves quickly, and we are constantly running alongside. Our experience of the world has become ever wider. This is said to be progress. But, living in such a way, how will we be changed? Perhaps we compensate for the shallowness with the number of experiences. Like machines, we take in information, process it, and store it away in large quantities. With such a large number of experiences, what is it that is lost?

If we focus on a single experience, what discoveries can we make? In the sound of the wind, perhaps we can hear the voices of a thousand people. In the leaves of the trees surrounding us, perhaps we can see a thousand shades of green. In the pages of single book, perhaps we can comprehend a thousand meanings.

The flow of information will continue. The current forces are strong, and cannot be easily swayed. However, resistance is possible. If we take the time to slowly experience the world around us, even in simple things we will find new depth. We will find the beauty of the voice of the wind.

Paolo Gaudio, born in '91, is a drummer and composer.
The origin of his music 
is an experience between sound and rhythm learned thanks to his academic studies
a mix of ambient / experimental
to an emotionally chaotic rhythm.

Clocking over a decades experience in producing underground radio and music television, M:Tron has established a broad musical knowledge that spans genres, decades and formats. Her late night electronic radio show 'No Sleep Till Bedtime' on Auckland's 95bFM saw an organic transition to club DJ'ing and a four year long residency and curatorial role at alternative and electronic music and arts venue Cassette Nine. This change saw her focus on indie club tunes, returning often to bass, minimal and disco with a splash of electro, unashamedly influenced by her formative clubbing experiences in the early 00's. M:Tron creates sets unique to her environment, challenging the limitations of single genre DJing, presenting a fresh curation of old and new tracks. Her more recent explorations of experimental audio and visual as part of the S.A.M.P.L.E collective and lo-fi collaborative music productions have pushed her even further toward a more rounded multi-sensory set up. Don’t mistake her for a dilettante, this is a life long love of sharing music presented through a unique, evolving exploration of the role of the DJ.
