Soma Records reveal it’s the force behind new  Electro label Avoidant & announce next release from Kronos Device

Soma continues to push the boundaries as they announce a new electro sub-label Avoidant – designed to push dynamic and diverse sonics from across the globe. Already with 6 releases under its belt from duo CYRK, Scottish new blood PinballSpider and Autonomous, future stars Syrte & Confluence their roster is steadily growing with fresh talent.

For the label’s next release and its first on vinyl, Kronos Device return in fine form for their first EP in four years ‘The Infinite Ones’ with a bass-heavy, BPM busting electronic gem; synonymous with their sound. Simon Brown (aka Dexorcist) and Phil Klein (aka Bass Junkie) joined forces in 2001 after pre-establishing themselves as major names in the underground scene.

Hyperqub3 throws the listener into a the deep-end sonically with funked up beats and electrostatic vocals slicing through gut-pounding bass that drives through the heart and instantly increases the bounce - all held together by hyperspatial SFX.

Track 2 delves into more heady, cerebral sounds. The title track of the EP, The Infinite Ones’ ripping synth sequences, dramatic pads and pulsing vocal riff is a supremely-produced nod to the duos versatility.

The EP culminates with Control - heavy distortion makes the 808 bass work hard, while robotic overtones and formidable synths command the track. The Infinite Ones is an expertly produced electronic EP that undoubtedly proves Kronos Device as pioneers of the genre.

Avoidant Records, said: “Since starting the avoidant label, Kronos Device were the first names to pop into our head for a release - their extreme bass heavy, fast BPM, unique 808 electro style was something we felt suited our labels sound perfectly and have always held them in high regard.”

Sticky Ground is delighted to bring you STG021, introducing The Spy! We have strongly wanted a release from this producer based in the Netherlands that has always had a very unique and characteristic sound. Sound you might have met before with a couple powerful tracks contributed on our Leaks VAs over the years (also under the SORN alias). Raw is the name of his game, with powerful electro influences and powerful melodies, and lots of groove in the beats. And thats what this EP is about. 
On remix duties we have both a new and a well-know face: E-bony, who is a very promising actor of Tel-Aviv electronic music scene (as you will hear in his take), and Casper Hastings, a man clearly able to effortlessly provide powerful electro bangers with the same ease as he does with techno.
