Puls Kluba is a mix serial of in-house artists, residents and contributing friends from all around. We're kicking off with our friend & resident Pepi Jogarde. 

Hailing from Croatia, Pepi juggles numerous roles with finesse - a radio presenter, DJ, promoter, organic winemaker and gourmet chef. He has won acclaim as an event coordinator for international music festivals in Tisno and as the host of the widely celebrated radioshow, Adriatic Coasting on yammatFM. He maintains residency at Peti Kupe in Croatia's capital, Zagreb, and was formerly known in the industry as Jogarde. With an illustrious DJ career spanning over two decades across Europe, Pepi has made his presence felt through club nights like Freilauf and collaborations such as forty:love. He has introduced audiences in Zagreb to top-tier acts, fostering a vibrant atmosphere fueled by inspiring music. He's had the privilege to host world-renowned disco and house aficionados like Hunee, Prins Thomas, Gerd Janson, Dixon, Ame, Metro Area, Antal, Jimi Jules, Roman Flügel, Henrik Schwarz, Boo Williams and many more. His rich musical background and unyielding enthusiasm have been defining factors in pushing boundaries and catapulting small underground clubs onto the global stage, emphasizing the importance of such intimate spaces. Pepi is renowned for his spellbinding seven-hour sets, seamlessly blending disco, house, techno, and dancefloor-friendly krautrock into a distinct, palpable, and somewhat melancholic sound. Today, he is considered by many as one of Croatia's finest DJs. He's had the honor of sharing the stage with legends like Francois Kevorkian, Theo Parrish, Derrick Carter, Danny Krivit and Kenny Dope, and has performed at esteemed events and venues such as Dekmantel Selectors, Love International, Dimensions, Lost In A Moment, Sonus, Clubs in Barcelona, 20/44 in Belgrade, about:blank in Berlin, Salon des Amateurs in Düsseldorf, among others.

"Some years ago I stopped playing 1-2 hour slots, sharing the stage with 5 other dj's. I figured warming up the dancefloor had become a lost art - and coming after someone who wanted to shine through the use of very obvious and intense tracks was a nuisance. 5 different dj's - 4 of who would play the same crappy overused sound design popping everywhere from Tulum to Berlin.
I decided I would only grace the turntables if I had total control of the night, music wise - which would allow me to explore slower tempos, beatless grooves, analogue disco oddballs, and 30 plus years of dance music - and build the intensity little by little. It would allow me to create a musical context.

Somehow these couple of sets showcase this ideology. My love for electronica and balearic, and my obsession with house music.

First up is a slow, melodic widescreen mix of electronica, progressive jazz instrumentals, and William Orbit's ambient from the 90's that fit the balearic philosophy. The guitar and dubby sounds as main elements throughout the set.
A few tracks in, more Ibicenco sounding tracks pave the road for old school Hardfloor breakbeats, and into what I feel sounds like a post-new wave from Timothy J. Fairplay, before going into the subtle dembo rhythms by Léna and deep house from Roots Unit, with its snare, positioned halfway, as a continuation of the Jamaican sound inheritance. Stubb and Mara keep the dub feel flowing, before closing with a cheesy guitar new age rendition by Alan Parsons.

Second set pumps the bpm's a notch forward. 
Futuristic house music, but rooted in the past as a timeless testament of the evolution of house music. Lysergic synths from Gebby Dibson and Acid Pauli pulse against house drums and loose percussions.
Melodies and minds soar as Above the Clouds and Seven Cities color the skies before some acid house tracks create tension for the dancefloor. The set comes to a close in rave breakbeats and the slow drum & bass of Skanna.

In almost 3 hours we have been able to navigate from electronica instrumentals, ambient, breaks, dubby tracks, deep house, house, acid house, techier stuff, drum & bass and new age parmigiana, similar to what a full night of me playing would be. Playing different flavors, intensities and genres, but in what I believe to be a steady narrative of energy current flow.

This is a two hour show with and exclusive interview (and great music!) with Vish and Maz (Dar Disku).

The debut album from Bahraini-born, British-based musical duo Dar Disku dropped under Soundway Records in September 2024. It is a celebration of their Arabic heritage and multicultural influences that melds golden age West Asian and North African sounds with a contemporary dance floor focus.

It is a transportive portal into Dar Disku’s growing world outside of the dance floor – one that encapsulates the cosmic emotions of cinema. Channelling sounds from Egyptian folk, Turkish psych, Algerian rai, Sudanese funk, Ethiopian jazz, Nigerian disco, and beyond. The album distills the energy of the duo’s renowned DJ sets and breadth of their influences into a fresh and exciting album that reflects and celebrates the ever increasing cultural exchanges found in clubs and on dancefloors the world over.

Recorded between the UK, Algeria, Turkey and Tunisia, the album seamlessly crosses from disco to Raï, piano house to Turkish psychedelia, ambient to bollywood and features guest artists from Algeria, Turkey and Bahrain as well as legendary Indian singer Asha Puthli.
