Unbelievable, the new single from DJ Koze’s upcoming album Music Can Hear Us (out April 4, 2025), sees DJ Koze and Ada deliver an otherworldly piece of music, drifting like a feverish dream sequence somewhere between beauty and unease.

In just 4 minutes and 30 seconds, DJ Koze and his “mental muse,” as he affectionately calls her, create an infinite space where familiar logic no longer applies, where nothing is as it seems, and where the uncanny lurks just beneath the surface. Hovering over this detached, dreamlike scenario is Ada’s angelic voice: a sound from another dimension, a plumb line cutting through the alienation.

With Unbelievable, DJ Koze has once again crafted an original piece of music—nostalgically familiar yet boldly futuristic—powerfully shredding through the boundaries of anything heard before.

He delivers, and delivers again. You can’t quite grasp how.

What happens if Damon Albarn happens to appear next to you in the Maras salt mines in the Sacred Valley of Peru?

A song that celebrates the unexpected. Pure Love is the result of a cosmic spark between DJ Koze and Damon Albarn. The encounter in the surreal salt ponds, was the initial spark from which this deep and unfathomably mystical treasure was born.

The shimmering of these two souls opens a window onto a nocturnal scene where the scents of oriental spices dance through the air and the stars twinkle above us. The sky has never been as beguiling as it is today.

Pure Love is available in a total of three versions, in addition to the original version there is also a Night Version and a Day Version. These versions vividly showcase the magical transformation that this song has undergone to reach its final album form. Through a mysterious metamorphosis, the raw power of the Night Version and the lucid harmonies of the Day Version blend into an otherworldly song, completing its journey from darkness into light.
