What happens if Damon Albarn happens to appear next to you in the Maras salt mines in the Sacred Valley of Peru?

A song that celebrates the unexpected. Pure Love is the result of a cosmic spark between DJ Koze and Damon Albarn. The encounter in the surreal salt ponds, was the initial spark from which this deep and unfathomably mystical treasure was born.

The shimmering of these two souls opens a window onto a nocturnal scene where the scents of oriental spices dance through the air and the stars twinkle above us. The sky has never been as beguiling as it is today.

Pure Love is available in a total of three versions, in addition to the original version there is also a Night Version and a Day Version. These versions vividly showcase the magical transformation that this song has undergone to reach its final album form. Through a mysterious metamorphosis, the raw power of the Night Version and the lucid harmonies of the Day Version blend into an otherworldly song, completing its journey from darkness into light.

Marcoussimo is a songwriter and producer from North West London, now living in a tiny village in rural Cheshire. His first band, Bambino, signed a publishing deal with Sony BMG. Over the next five years, the band spent time in studios, touring, and learning the ins and outs of the music industry. After the band split, Marcoussimo worked in a pub in Maida Vale, where he first had the opportunity to connect with talented recording engineer Ian Rossiter. Together, they formed Oscar The Punk and collaborated with prominent artists, including Robyn, Gwen Stefani, Moby, and MIA. Having established his recording studio in Manchester, Marcoussimo is excited to announce his first release, the 'Country Electro' EPs Parts 1&2, which will be available on May 30, 2025.  Country Electro explores important themes such as loneliness, addiction, and social media, all within the innovative cross-genres of dance, indie, and country music.

Pampa Records is a independent record label dedicated to releasing music that's seriously danceable without recourse to the tried and tested ingredients.
