Meda Fury welcome OL from Moscow, Russia. Following many varied contributions for labels such as Faces, Fine Grains, Phonica and Capital Bass. 
Lum Edit barges in sirens blaring, banging out machine like kick, hats and toms. The heaviest raw funk bassline is unleashed, and lumbers amongst Rap TV show samples and gunshots. Industrial gangster house. 
Around has a broken, jazzy Detroit feel. Sparing R&B vocal samples and afrocentric percussion ride the wah-wah and heavy bass guitar. 
Rimms comes straight out of leftfield, cutting edge drum machines rubbing up against Baltic art-rock samples. Its a strange claustrophobic affair with ghostly vocals. East European dancefloor paranoia. 
Myxa breaks the tension wide open, building a coiled spring of whistle-like riffs. R&B vocal snippets hype it up further before snapping and spilling its own elastic sub-bass. Fine feelgood ghetto-house action. 
Podumay's glitchy raw drums stomp forward towards all kinds of unknown sci-fi sounds and Kraut synth backgrounds. The contrast is a Detroit soul bassline and house percussion. 
Melt Down brings the tempo and mood way down to a mysterious close. The echoing sound of water and eerie isolationist synth washes recalling BOC. The beat is straight current-day Hip-Hop, tight snares rolling over dangerously low Miami-strength bass. Game over.

Five years after the illustrious Paranormal Soul LP, techno derelict Danny Wolfers aka Legowelt returns on Clone with “Legendary Freaks In The Trash Of Time”. A vivid collection of twelve genre-defying tracks: from late-night hermit house to Memphis rap influenced slowjam electro, from Amiga 1200 technorave to cosmic spaceweed trance, including the whole universe in between. All blended together in a mix of  subdued sensuality and psychedelic splendour, this album is flavoured with Legowelt’s typical crunchy LO-FI sampler and synthesizer aesthetic. Wolfers’ own hand-drawn sleeve artwork illustrates the album’s mood without the need for much further promotional blurb… colourful stories embodying societal malaise and its dwellers - yet with a dash of aspiration. Returning with his first album in 13 years, Errorsmith’s ‘Superlative Fatigue’ long-awaited release on PAN arrives as his perhaps most optimistic record yet.

Placing a strong emphasis on spectral exploration, the tracks tell an inherent story and span a musical arc with his recognisable synthesised tones, computerised vocal effects and timbral changes in motion.

In comparison to his previous productions, Errorsmith (Erik Wiegand) sees the release as less abstract, harsh or aggressive: “I would say it is rather accessible and cheerful; at times ridiculously cheerful but still very sincere and emotional.” He suggests. “I find it touching when this little android raises its pitch at the end of ‘Lightspeed’ or the android catching its breath in ‘My Party’ for instance.”

The album title, ‘Superlative Fatigue’ reflects this tension between an over-the-top, hysterical emotion, against more deeply felt expressions or realness.

Besides collaborating with the likes of Mark Fell, to Berghain resident Fiedel as MMM, and Soundstream as Smith N Hack, Wiegand has released a string of seminal dancefloor tracks. Building his own instruments using modular software synthesizers is a large part of his work. Where almost all the sounds in the LP were created with his synth, ‘Razor’, (a synthesizer plug-in he developed for Native instruments, released in 2011) or slightly modified versions of it.

Premiered at Unsound Festival last year, this new material he has developed since has finally taken form in this epic full-length.

The album is mastered by Rashad Becker, featuring artwork by James Hoff and layout by Bill Kouligas.
