I discovered Frankie Knuckles through his music, one that was, gentle, lush with a subdued, understated power that rocked many a dancefloor.
I had the privilege to hear him once in the heyday of his legendary residency at Sound Factory Bar in New York. I was submerged, sonically and emotionally by the beauty of the music I heard that night. I remember very clearly saying to myself that this would be impossible to ever equal.
That was 20 years ago, and I never got to hear this magic combination again.

I got to meet Frankie a few times, and he was always like his music, gentle, humble,   yet naturally imposing

I've put together here some of my favorite music from him. So that his legacy can keep on inspiring other people.

Rest in peace, Frankie, may your music keep on moving people eternally

An-i continues his love affair with electronics offering us three distinct slabs of throbbing machine funk. The opening track Gutz is a dense mutant high energy number, modern yet timeless. Rut, the first track An-i recorded whilst still living in New York and the first one to catch our attention, opens the B side with a massive dose of syncopated teutonic mayhem, spacier and sparser than the rest. Save Us completes the release with an anthem of dirty warehouse techno.

A hidden force of the French underground bass music for 20 years, Central Massive finally launches its own, long awaited inprint.

With a sound cross-cutting between his hundreds of influences , Youthman the veteran delivers a powerful first release for the label, marked by a sound engraved in today's complex musical landscape. In Bad Bitch, futuristic footwork rubs shoulders with old school jungle,  hardcore hip-hop gets mashed-up in a trap bass flood, and ghostly hard synth attacks ensure the heads are banging, the forever-young man's signature!

The release is also the occasion to discover (or re-confirm) Jenny K, a heavy-duty MC hailing from London, who settles the score straight on the adequatly named "Vengeance".
