A precursor to Astral Projection, SFX (abbreviation of sound effects), was formed in Israel in 1989 and originally consisted of Avi Nissim and Lior Perlmutter. They released a hit single in 1991 named Monster Mania, which prompted them to start working on an album. Work was halted when they decided to travel to New York and try their luck there. While Avi soon went back home, Lior stayed in the USA and in 1992 released the single JBIE. In 1993, with Lior still in the US, Avi teamed up with Yaniv Haviv and Guy Sabbag and they released the single Another World. In early 1994, Lior returned to Israel to work on his own material with the rest of the members under their new label Trust in Trance. Their album Trust in Trance 2 reached number two on Israel best selling album chart.[3] After this release, Guy decided to leave the group and the remaining members eventually changed their name to Astral Projection. In 1995 they opened their own professional sound studio.[4]
They have produced nine albums, some of them reaching positions on best selling album charts abroad.[5] The most recent album is 'Ten' which was released in 2004. Astral Projection have not released an album since 2004, though they have released several singles since then.
Astral Projection's most well known tracks include hits such as “Kabalah”, “People Can Fly”, “Mahadeva” and “Dancing Galaxy” to name but a few.
Astral Projection's tracks “Open Society”, “The Prophecy”, "One" and "Strange World" were greeted enthusiastically by Goa and Psychedelic trance fans. The release of their EP Open Society was pushed back first from January 2008 to September 2008, then from September 2008 to simply "2009", and then from 2009 to simply "2010". After the September 2008 delay, Astral Projection's website attributed this to a dispute with B.N.E., the label which they originally had agreed to release the album. The EP was finally released by Trust in Trance Records on September 7, 2010.[6]
On February 10, 2010, the New Astral Store opened on Astral Projection's website, making virtually all of their music available for a download fee in mp3 or wav format.
Their new EP, One, was released June 12, 2012 on TIP Records.

We´d like to invite you to make your own version of the latest single “Rude Boy Talk”!

There are three categories to participate in: Remix,  Voicing and Mash Up. So no matter, if you are a DJ, producer or singer, feel free to put your art to Illbilly Hitec’s music.

A jury consisting of the reggae- and dubmastermind Jesse „Dubmatix“ King, Nicolai Beverungen (Echo Beach) and Karsten Frehe (IrieItes.de/Riddim Mag) will select the best versions, which will all end up on a digital release by Echo Beach. There will be a public voting as well to choose the two best ones out of these tunes, which will end up on an exclusive, limited 7 inch vinyl release by Irie Ites Music later this year.

Instructions:

1. Download of the files (all single stems, vocal stems and/or the riddim) is available from february 24th, 2017 right here: www.illbillyhitec.de/remix 
2. Send in your version until april 11th, 2017 to info@tourstress-booking.de and upload it to your Soundcloud-account, if you have one. Please don’t make it downloadable.
3. Jury decision of the 5 best tunes in all three categories will be finished until april 18th, 2017. These tunes will be uploaded on the Illbilly Hitec-Soundcloudprofile for a public voting.
4. Your tune is one of them? If so, share it to your fans and friends and make them leave a comment. The tracks with most comments with be the ones chosen for the vinyl release!
5. Public voting ends may 2nd, 2017 and the two best tracks to be released on vinyl will be announced.
