it's inspired on the intertidal sea in the north of the netherlands called the waddenzee. santpoort is the village in the dunes i grew up in, which means "wadable land" and was a big sand bank that people used to cross from one region to another.

Also known under his original name Julien Mier, santpoort is a prodigious man who developed an inspiring musical and illustrative project in 2018. 

The artist finds his inspirations in the landscapes he travelled during his youth. "Santpoort", also his hometown, is a dutch village on the dunes surrounded by water and sand by the North Sea shore and his latest EP "mudflat hikers" represents that big empty space that stretches on the horizon.
