Bassbin dons Low Jack, Simo Cell and Peverelist do a triple tub rinse out for Simo Cell’s Temet, mixing up 90’ of grime, UKF, breakbeats, and mutant bashment business with inexorable flow.

On the A-side Pev & Simo turn the timeline from early ‘00s to 2020 inside out, running killer drums and duppied sound designs from the early heyday of dubstep, thru the infectious percussions of UKF, to grimy breaks and technoid twiss-ups, including no doubt at least one of Pev’s own zingers up in it. With the flipside Low Jack and Simo bring the tempo down a few gears to work around slippery dembow and dancehall patterns, shuffling up recent gear off Livity Sound with late ‘90s ragga instrumentals, proper, and at least a few of Low Jack’s bashy, dare-to-be-different edits for the meanest sort of clipped dancehall pressure.

Both mixes are taken from dj sets recorded live at Trempolino in Nantes during Simo Cell's residency with Peverelist and Low Jack (between 2018 and 2019). Props to Phil and Tom for joining, U R LEGENDS.

‘The Pulse of Iron’ an apt reflection of modern progression into the unknown industrial world. It comes from Naarm based artist, Consulate who has found a home on Pure Space Records for our 10th label release. On this EP, Consulate delivers four tracks of dance music for the dystopian with a slick DnB sheen.

Rounding out the record is ‘Warlock’, a percussive track that proves the restraint Consulate has in his craft. Moody, sliced vocals skitter through delayed percussion creating a sense of tension. When it feels as though the storm is just about to hit, you are enveloped by fast-paced jungle breaks drawing you deeper into the eye of the storm.

@DjBadshape is a multi-talented artist from Leipzig,
Germany, working in the fields of design and music. The singer, producer and DJ debuted on Defrostatica Records in Summer 2021 on the various artist compilation Hybrid Hooks with “I See Red”. Her light-footed and open-minded approach to club music was premiered and reviewed with great praise by Leipzig’s electronic music magazine Frohfroh. In her first own release on the label though she puts a different emphasis. Influenced by gritty personal events @DjBadshape has written two tracks that are on the dark side of two different genres: drum and bass and techno.
Hurrican Kick is a minimal autonomic drum and bass tune carried by
instruction calls from London’s roller skater star Stormskater. Few
percussive elements are floating around a hypnotic kick pattern that soon elevates the dancer in the ‘zone’.

Everything had changed; the faces were different, the buildings under new control, the community destroyed. What they'd built with their own hands no longer belonged to them, people with power could take anything they wanted and this time it was their home - it was everything they'd ever known. If they could, they'd try and save it at all costs, but the obstacles they'd come up against were far greater than anything they were likely to gain - the odds were stacked against them.

London-based producer Simkin has spent the last few years growing the reputation of All Centre, the imprint he co-runs. The platform has been a space for experimental, rhythmic dance music that colours outside the lines and, until now, has been the only outlet where Simkin's productions have been housed. For his first solo release away from home, he joins the Pseudonym Records roster for a two-tracker See You / Deterritorial - backed by a remix from borderlandstate The Best Kisser In L.a. - which is characterised by broken drum patterns, dembow rhythms and chopped vocal samples.
