In September 1890, Susan and John Dunham of Tolland sold “a piece of land on the north side of the highway known as Dog Lane” to the fourth district for a schoolhouse.  They were paid $50 for it. The Dog Lane School served the Storrs community until 1930 when the new Storrs Grammar School opened (now the Audrey Beck Municipal Center in Storrs, CT).

Last Saturday, the ACEC building in Apeldoorn transformed into a pulsating universe of sound, light, and energy. During De Opening, Deep Circuit Electro Miners delivered a concert that shook the walls and lit up hearts. The audience was swept away on a sonic journey through glitchy rhythms, hypnotic visuals, and an atmosphere that hovered somewhere between rave and ritual.

To close this unforgettable evening, the group unveiled their latest creation: The Glob. A track that feels like a cosmic entity slowly coming to life—growing, pulsing, transforming. It’s the perfect fusion of their experimental roots and their love for the unexpected.

With members from London, Amsterdam, and Apeldoorn, Deep Circuit Electro Miners is more than a band—it’s a collective that creates music for the sheer joy of it, yet with a depth that lingers. The Glob is out now, and if you dare, you can listen to it on their SoundCloud. But be warned: once The Glob grabs hold of you, it doesn’t let go.

A tribute to the heavy origins I wrote on July 1994: two alternating riffs and a 3rd theme for a rest; little by little encouraging voice and of course, distortion on rhythmic and solo guitars.
