Fairground of Tears’ ‘Execution’ is a 10 track EP of heavy, noisy techno, containing 5 original tracks and 5 remixes from Melania., Phin, Pre Silent, Antechamber and Tomohiko Sagae. 

Conceptually, the release explores the multi-perspectival facets of the serial killer phenomenon, both the victim and the killer, but also the role of the voyeur, which in this instance, the listener becomes. 

Fairground Of Tears is a London based producer, resident DJ at Noise Orchestra and the founder and curator of the London event series, Exiled.

Austrian based DJ/Producer, Aida Arko, makes her full Soma debut with the industrial influenced EP, ‘Under You Above The Galvanic Sky’. After her appearance on the Collective Process VA series earlier in 2021, Aida has worked tirelessly in the studio, honing her sound to present this hard hitting and superbly produced EP.

Starting strong, Rock It Till You Lock It opens the E with a powerful yet emotive feeling as driving drums hammer home against swaying atmospherics. Title track Above You Under The Galvanic Sky begins ominously before intense percussive workouts and sharp vocal cuts for the basis of a dark, fierce track. Hard Candy has Aida drawing on more emotive themes again as lush ambience lures you in before giving way to tweaked out acid elements and her signature, potent industrial influenced sound. Enter The Void closes out the EP and takes no prisoners from the opening. Thudding kicks build the momentum as subtle yet distorting atmospheres work their way through the background to construct a full force, thundering end to the EP.

Wodawater, a label based in Glasgow, Scotland, presents a mini-album from the label’s founder, TRSSX. The album has gone through many iterations since it began taking shape back in 2017. It hybridises various club-related and experimental music genres, and was inspired by the various scenes TRSSX was a part of in that time (Chicago, New York, Krakow and Glasgow). The album features heavily processed instruments, distortion and noise set against polyrhythmic industrial narratives. Scythe Down the Truth comes out on super limited 16-copy transparent vinyl edition and digitally on the 1st of November. TRSSX is a producer and sound artist based in Glasgow. He runs WODA event series in Krakow, Poland, and Fundamentals in Glasgow. He’s part of the duo Man Fear.
