RC3 - REMOTE CHAOS EXPERIENCE
December 27-30, 2020

germany's infamous hacker organisation - the CHAOS COMPUTER CLUB (CCC) - traditionally gathers hackers from all over the planet for a huge congress between christmas and new year's eve: the CHAOS COMMUNICATION CONGRESS. for more than 35 years this congress was held in huge spaces like hamburg congress center or leipzig trade fair - with up to 20.000 attendants in recent years.

this winter there will be no congress of course. instead, there will be a virtual gathering - the REMOTE CHAOS EXPERIENCE (RC3). the CCC crew designed a digital playground for this which looks a bit like an oldschool 8bit computer game and comes with different rooms for presentations, workshops, meetings etc. you can check out what to expect here - the RC3 is built using this platform:

attendants will be able to choose their own avatar and engage with others in this cute internet bubble. like at the real congress, we will also have a music room that features sounds from a wide range of artists. some people might hang out in this room and follow what’s going on while others might just use it as the official sound layer of the conference and have it play in the background while they chat and hack etc.
the virtual music room offers a rare chance that we usually don’t have at the congress: first of all we can invite people from all over the world to contribute and second we can play around a lot with audiovisual content.

we are happy with anything really, stylistically it’s totally open. ideally each contribution is about 60min long and can be either just sound or something audiovisual (sound + visuals combined).

we try to gather all contributions before christmas, so it would be great if you can let us know soon if you see a chance that you can be part of RC3 2020.
