Hoppípolla (2025 Remaster)

This excerpt is recorded live on the premiere of the piece on May 11, 2025 at Theater am Gleis Wintherthur. Raw File, no mix. The composition was written between 2024 and 2025 for and with the Ensemble TaG. All the electronics, that were used for the live-set and composition, have been recorded with various microphones mixing close-up micing, room resonances and in-between spaces. The pre-production of the electronics has been edited beforehand as part of the composition and reprocessed live in interaction with the musicians and the space. 

The live recording will be released in 2026 on –OUS. The site-specific piece is planned to be performed in various theatres in Switzerland and Europe in collaboration with the booking ttu-agency.

"Baikal Jew's Harp Orchestra" was born at Baikal jew's harp camp at August 2012 when we realized that it might be interesting to play big harp band with conductor. Now we have the Orchestra members not only in Irkutsk, Russia, but other places. We play improvisations as well as folk harp tunes. Fangjes is an ancient Norwegian jew’s harp tune created in the beginning of XVIII century.  We play this tune and then some variations on the main theme. So this work is the authors view to the traditional tune.

В коллективе участвуют не только исполнители из Иркутска, но и из других городов. Мы играем как разученные композиции, так и импровизации.
