Mix and Mastering was done in the „N.o.b.S. Moonshine Studios“ in Mainz Germany.
Nearly everything had been recorded during the night, sometimes at daylight on weekends.

In 1936 a small town suffered plague and pestilence. 11 women gave birth to what the town described as feral, clawed, masked and lethargic￼￼ creatures. The citizens dispatched all but 3 of the mothers but strangely enough let the creatures live. The remaining mothers fostered all of the “children” and were quarantined to an abandoned and barren farm. The farm and its inhabitants became known as Sloth Camp. They were left to fend for themselves, surviving on what little they could grow and animals ( mainly rats) they could catch. An outhouse painted with images of lions and baboons and other creatures from distant lands started being worshipped by the “ children “. This is Sloth Camp...

At home producer of electronic tracks in varying styles - I really enjoy experimenting with melding different genres. 
Been writing songs since the mid 70's whilst playing bass & drums in various bands (the first one was a punk band) and digitally writing since 2006. Retired now, so much more time for having fun with music :) It's just a hobby for me these days; Soundcloud is just a great place to share music & connect with people who have the same interests. VANCRYNES is the musical alter-ego of Angelo Saridis, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer from South Gippsland, Australia. His music spans the genre spectrum with roots in early punk and post punk and a solid grounding in 90s alternative rock, his music fuses these influences with a deliberate intention.  Imagine Paul Dempsey and Tim Rogers had a love child with Black Francis and Kim Gordon as the godparents and Johny Marr as the favourite uncle...somewhere in that mix you will find VANCRYNES

Exploring themes that are predominantly a shared introspective reflection, there is a happy sad dynamic and a nostalgic sensibility to all the songs.  'I'm trying to share what's anxiety provoking for adults...and show that none of us really have our shit together...but at times there's something beautiful about admitting our failings and insecurities'.

VANCRYNES is guitar driven, sweat soaked and authentic which at times will make the listener chuckle and other times give you a reason to reflect.  It's still very much punk rock at heart but delivered with an equal portion of sensitivity and recklessness.

VANCRYNES is committed to capturing the immediacy of the songwriting process and moves quickly to capture songs as the moments of creation are fleeting 'I just want to get a general sense of the song recorded and move on to the next one.  If the songwriting is strong enough, then I hope it will carry through the more casual production approach.  My production is very loose and I will never even contemplate something like autotune'.  

Keeping it fresh and committed to the creative practice of songwriting, VANCRYNES sticks to a blistering regime of writing, producing and releasing with more than 100 songs completed in 2022 and that frenetic pace continues into 2023 and now 2024.  'To quote the famous philosopher Lloyd Christmas...I can't stop once I've started....it stings'
