"The significance of Poppa Pimple is the attitude I take towards the social and political aspects of the not only the local hip hop scene, but the social scene in general. The hook is a play on words, with “Poppa” being me, and “pop a pimple" being said as Poppa Pimple. “Poppas poppin’” just like you pop a pimple, soI call myself “Poppa Pimple.” Its also a very subtle commentary on my social anxiety and personal image issues (i.e. pimples). The first verse explores my issues with anxiety, sleep deprivation, social awkwardness, and inability to find peace of mind.  The second verse dives into my troubled relationship with my local hip hop scene. Not getting acknowledgement from anyone in the local scene, being ignored, and simply feeling like a misfit. The artwork is a reflection of the semi-serious tone in the hook, and also of the way I see modern hip hop. The picture is of me when I was 13. I put a knife tattoo on my forehead, similar to 21 Savage just to be funny, put golds in my mouth, a chain around my neck. Its all just a silly reflection of the word “rapper” in the eyes of the average person, and why that may be the wrong image association."
