As Frankie sang, 'and now, the end is near', which is certainly the case for our long standing Trash The Wax compilation series.

Over the years, it has released some absolute dance floor smashers by established names in the art of bangers as well as emerging music makers showcasing their fresh sounds.

Initially, we wanted to establish Trash The Wax outside of the 'kick-hat-snare stuck over a Sister Sledge sample' style edits that were dropping weekly. The result was a collection of cuts aimed at the dance floor which would also appeal to fans of electronic music. But all things come to an end, and with this 10th release, we are finishing on a high.

As expected there are disco ticklers aplenty from renowned party people such as Late Nite Tuff Guy, Ed Wizard, Bill Brewster, Pablo & Shoey, Danny Russell & Ronald Christoph and Yam Who.

Tracks such as Leon Sweet's Sunny Bigler made their way into the record boxes of the likes of Luke Unabomber, Maurice Fulton and Chris Duckenfield as well as the airwaves of 6Music. Deckard's rework of the theme from 'The Warriors' created scenes at ALFOS in Glasgow with Sean Johnston saying 'I've never seen as many shirtless middle age blokes go as mental as they did when that dropped!'

On a more twisted gutter style disco tip, there is Richard Seaborne's ' Is This Acid?' which topped the Paper best ever sellers on Beatport for months, Richard Norris's 'Glow' is textbook space disco, the low slung sludge of James Rod & Aleito's 'Raum 909' and the Speak & Spell narrated Acidisco by Andy Buchan.

There are also two brand new cuts from TTW family members Boblebad & D.S.D. plus more killer music than we can shake a disco stick at. Never has the phrase 'all hitters and no shitters' been more apt.

Our next release features a collaboration between Lalo Leyy & Chanknous with their track 6PM. It's a fantastic tune with a beautiful vocal we think you'll find is perfect for those day parties and sunset sessions.

We decided to split this one into a 2 part release to have some other artists we love put there own spin on it. For part 1 we see the return of the legendary Sebb Junior for another Deep House groover similar to his work on Demarkus Lewis's Airlock EP. So, if you loved that remix of his, you're going to love this one just as much!  

We also see the return of a production duo in Part 1 that we've been a firm believer in for some time now - Sachrias & Aslak. Sachrias & Aslak have released music on Cromarti since 2011 with their 2 part release for "Stromso", which we had an amazing selection of artists rework. Their sound and production quality are top notch, and we have no doubt you're going to love the deep dub mix they've turned out for this one.

 One of the most vital figures in contemporary house music for more than a decade now, Prime Numbers founder Trus’me makes his debut on Groovement with the ‘No Harm’ EP, featuring two new tracks that make good on his heritage.

‘No Harm’ is a bubbling, seductive roller that reveals itself slowly and surely as a punchy number, squarely aimed at sophisticated dancefloors, an ecstatic choir rising from beneath it’s interlocking rhythms. Meanwhile, ‘Someone New’ starts deep and burrows only further, making sensual and psychedelic use of trippy effects and a powerful, throbbing bassline to create maximum pressure.

Midwestern legend Delano Smith contributes a similarly confident, winningly understated remix of ‘No Harm’, one that takes the original track in an equally heady, techno-tinted direction, peppered with timeless Detroit touches.

With his love for music tracing way back to an early age by dabbling with various instruments and then moving on to develop a passion for record collecting, Trus’me found his calling after learning the art of mixing and sample digging. Surrounded by the heads of Manchester and its deep rooted music scene, one couldn’t deny that it was an effortless task to be exposed to good music from all genres, thus explaining his constantly evolving tastes as evident in his eclectic DJ sets as well as in his uniquely, diverse productions. “Like bookends some 12’s will work with both the beginning and the end of the night, such is the classy sampling from Trus’me” (Peter Nicholson, XLR8R). 

The much reputed CD sampler “Nards” that was responsible for initialing releases on Chicago’s Still Music label, inevitably sparked off Trus’me’s promising musical career. Seeing support from respected names such as Ashley Beedle, Juan Atkins, Mad Matts, Gilles Peterson and Chez Damier plus his productions selling out at record stores from Manchester to Tokyo, led to the highly successful release of his debut album, “Working Nights”, on Fat City Recordings, that’s hailed by most to be a timeless album, still finding devotees to this day. 

Not one to rest on his laurels, the label Prime Numbers was set up and quickly gained an unfaltering reputation for highly collectable and exceptional music from artistes such as Move D, Actress, Linkwood, Fudge Fingas, Motorcity Drum Ensemble; all artistes that fit the ethos and style that Trus’me continues to carry a torch for. In 2009, his highly anticipated follow-up album, “In The Red” that featured the likes of Chez, Damier, Amp Fiddler and Dam Funk further cemented his place in the House scene and set off a flurry remixes for acts such as LCD Soundsystem, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Alton Miller, Anthony Shake Shakir and more, including non-stop touring to clubs and festivals alike in Asia, Australia, Canada, Europe, North America, South America and of course, in his backyard, the city of Manchester where it all began.
