We gave it to them straight: “Let us remix your song or weʼre taking all the meatballs.”

Having heard the baggy psychedelic beauty that is ʻRushing Through My Mindʼ on Lauren Laverneʼs 6Music show, we thought we could do a number on it. Turn it into a psychedelic disco record (with added meatballs). We think we managed it, reliving the rushy highs from indie-danceʼs finest moments of 1991.

For those of you unaware of the splendid Swedish rockersʼ groovy workings, they have already released two albums, debut Horse Dance in 2015 and last yearʼs excellent Mirage, from which the ecstatic ʻRushing...ʼ comes.

The release comes on Joe Bugner-style heavyweight vinyl (180g) complete with Instrumental and Radio Edit. Mang Dynasty is Ray Mang and Bill Brewster.

International Peoples Gang v Hot Toddy's `Slow-Motion Cowboy', a highlight of last year's `Amuse Bouche 2' compilation and Mixmag's 10/10 record of the month, gets a stand-alone, re-worked release in December on the Night Noise imprint. 

Coupled with sensational remixes from Hifi Sean (currently topping the Billboard charts with `Testify', his collaboration with Crystal Waters) and Balearic flag- waver Pete Herbert, the tune looks certain to set dancefloors alight all around the world. A pumping bassline, funky riffs and breathy vocals are paired with crisp beats to make for an irresistible mirror ball moment.

Smashed Atoms aka Steve Gladdis has been making warm underground disco nuggets on the sly for the past decade gaining support across the board. His sleek production skills have gained respect from the likes of Greg Wilson, the Paper Records crew and of course Fingerman and his Hot Digits Music imprint. After the runaway success a few years ago of “Cut This Way” on the label, Smashed Atoms returns with his most accomplished work yet, the “Moving Parts EP” featuring Crazy P style disco anthem “Lifted” featuring the one and only Kathy Diamond on vocals. Its a warm beautiful song about the power of a good beat and what it feels like to be literally Lifted off the floor. A possible future classic. The release also features a sleek Dub Version for those who prefer it. 
Then we move onto more mid tempo deepness with Smashed Atoms teaming up with the mysterious Backdoor Man for “ All The Time”, a perfect warm up track with smoky indie vocal stylings and cheeky nods to 80’s retro lyrics. Hot Gorilla’s Andy Buchan steps up to remix the track for the final cut taking the brooding vocals into more Indie Nu-Disco territory with awesome analog stabs and flurries.
