In honour of my new EP, Breeze FM, I thought I'd put together 60 mins of some of the dance music that inspired the making of the record. The mix is equal parts deep house, italo, balearic -- all with a light and breezy touch. There's some relatively new music in there, and a couple classics too. It's as easy to dance to, as it is to put on while you're making dinner. I had an absolute blast putting this together, and I hope you love what you hear! Stay Breezy!

Leon Sweet is a producer who paid his dues and has the scars to prove it!  He cut his teeth in the madness the free party circuit in the 90s, has been stuck in the middle of a gangster / bouncer showdown in the booth of the MOS whilst DJing and experienced major label meltdown.

And now after a break he’s back with two dance floor bombs for Paper on this debut two track EP for the label.

Beat Slave Auto first came to our attention via the great Billy Scurry who heard it on Soundcloud and pointed it in our direction.  It’s a super heavy, hypnotic, pitched down slomo acid track that weighs in at over 10 minutes.  Straddling techno, cosmic, house, acid and disco, it twists and turns in to what is proper head music.

On the flip, GTTR lightens things up with a rough as you like disco sample and the vocals of Christabel Cossins.  Vox stabs, nagging bass and congas build to a classic piano riff that does what it says on the tin; smiles all round!

Irregular Synth likes to surprise his crowds when he&#8217;s helming the dj booth: his eclectic taste leads him to choose from a variety of different sounds and vibes and blend them together effortlessly. Same thing when he&#8217;s in the studio: his productions draft from a lot of influences and references, but he nevertheless retains a personal touch that makes every detail as catchy as you could ask for. This ep for Amazing Records, brilliantly titled &#8220;Awesome&#8221;, shows the neapolitan talent coming up with 3 infectiously danceable tracks, each one with a distinctive feeling. &#8220;Paintball&#8221;&#8216;s fluid bass line and conga rolls are matched by sneaky fills and soft background pads that pave the way for a vibrantly uplifting percussion melody that keeps spinning round and round. &#8220;Mind and the nature&#8221;&#8216;s tight acid funky bass and choir-like vocals welcome a whirlwind of shuffled percussions that remind the listener of the endlessly reliable minimal techno quintessential rhythm. Yet, that ever familiar beat fits in a new light and is taken to the next level, which is what Irregular Synth does best, shaping sounds and visions into a differently challenging perspective. &#8220;Glory Hole&#8221; boasts an overloaded analogue orgy: the bass is so huge it&#8217;s almost all encompassing, and it spreads all over the stereo pan, while the synth chords gently fill the air waves.
