Paperfunk Recordings has always respected — and will continue to respect — the technoid and techno-DnB sound, and we've always strived to contribute as a label to the development of this branch of Drum & Bass.

While techno-DnB emerged back in the early 2000s alongside titanic subgenres like neurofunk and techstep, technoid drum and bass was born under far more intricate and subtle circumstances. The rise of the technoid subgenre is directly tied to a particular group of artists and their unique sonic influence during the years 2007 to 2011.

Its peak — the true triumph of technoid — was in 2008, right at the center of this period. That was the golden age of the subgenre we love, when labels like Offkey, Sinuous, and many others were putting out astonishingly heavy releases with utterly mad and unpredictable sound design.

We’re bringing that tradition back. We’re reviving the raw power and chaos of technoid and techno-DnB — and with great pride, we present to you our new compilation: TECHNOID: GREATEST COMEBACK VOL. 1

This series will feature works by artists who embody the very essence of why these subgenres continue to captivate us. PAPERFUNK RECORDINGS – is a dark drum&bass label which sound will be based on the hard and metallic techstep and neurofunk sound. There’s no place for popular sound. The label’s main goal is to flood cities and towns with the special mixtures containing nano-robots that supposed to get inside people’s brains and plunge them down in the deepest adolescent memories and show them the unrealized future. The hardness of the mix, the steel of the drums, the oil of the bass and the rust of the effects – are the main and crucial keywords of the PAPERFUNK label.


Officially speaking, our tracks will be selling out on the majority of the online music stores that’s why it’ll always be easy to find them available on the most popular online shops such as Beatport, TrackitDown, Digital-Tunes, etc.


We’d like to pay special attention to the concept of our label as an engine of progress. Juan Camilo Ramirez Espinel aka UFO'Q
Nacido en bogota/colombia el año 1998, tuvo el placer de conocer el drumandbass a muy temprana edad y a los 16 años con sus primeros toques como dj enfocándose en el JumpUp dnb y Hardneurofunk en sus sets llevando una linea creativa y psychodelica, en el año 2015 decidió empezar su carrera como productor con la colaboración de Juspian aka Qaan un productor colombiano, ya enfocándose en una linea más agresiva y contundente decide empezar a darle vida a sus pistas con un derivado de HardcoreDNB y Technoid
Así también conociendo a Diego Rojas AKA D5kill antes conocido como PSICK Productor Chileno colaborando con un sencillo Siente el BOOMMM que es donde deciden consolidar el proyecto UP Donde se puede encontrar en soundcloud.
Gracias a shrammakaRecs pudo lanzar su primer Ep el cual tiene 2 pistas llamadas Judicious -necius, sus últimos sencillos que tiene en soundcloud como Hardtxbass, no existo, malditxs insectos han sido de gran agrado en slovakia, república checa y por supuesto Colombia .
Logrando a finales de 2018 exactamente el 31 de octubre lanzar un sencillo con HARDER&LOURDER Primer label de Rusia de Crossbreed en un AlbumFree con mas de 10 artistas internacionales.

Agosto/08/2019 fue lanzado el álbum del Artista ruso Syrinx (Cup Of Tea Please EP) por el label de Bulgaria METAFIZIQ, en dicho álbum UFO’Q hace parte con una pieza llamada Grad inspiradas en sonidos y ambientes techy e industriales con breaks y baterías metálicas.
Septiembre/12/2019 AstralTechRecords (España) Lanza Un LP llamado Creator Of Nexus para el cual Deadly Spirits es la pieza que este artista deja fluir en el proyecto, fue invitado hacer parte de esta gran selecta de artistas por su colega español Dofto Jeik AKA Jeikcore.
Julio/20/2020 MassBass (Colombia) lanza un LP titulado "Somos La Resistencia" En Compañía Daniel Avella AKA Agressive Mind entregan al compilado de varios artistas una pieza llamada Empiric llena de crossbreed y harddnb colombiano.
Octubre/31/2020 Siendo parte del Compilado de varios artistas en la KILLERDRUMZ (Argentina) con su track ANARQUITEK.
Consolidando para él año 2022 un proyecto con su estudiante y colega Sawar algo llamado HARDBASS SOULDIERS.

Dj LUX (Drum and Bass/ Technoid & Techstep)  en el año 2010 con un exprofesor de Tempo Dj Die Sand (Diego Sandoval)  realizó el curso Mezcla básica en unidades de CDJ, en el 2011 y 2012  hizo los primeros eventos en bodegas, azoteas, salones y bares, en el año 2013 culminó producción musical con Guillermo Campos egresado de música de la Universidad del norte, el año 2015  estudió producción musical en la academia DNA music y en el año 2016  mezcla en vinilos con Dj Psycorp (silentzcorp  Bookings) en el año 2022 asistió al Master class  con Dj AntTC1 (Dispatch recordings label owner) constantemente se inspira aprender y mejorar en la escena electrónica underground.
