Bats have a bad reputation - branded as blood-sucking vampires for centuries, and more recently shunned for potentially harbouring and spreading COVID. But these deeply misunderstood and undervalued creatures of the night are essential to keeping balance in our planet’s ecosystems. They pollinate plants, disperse seeds, and help humans out by eating literal tons of insect pests every year. They're the only mammals that can properly fly, and if you’ve ever laid eyes on one you’ll see they’re actually pretty cute. Bats are very vulnerable to environmental threats like habitat loss, light pollution and disease. Every contribution helps protect them, no matter how small. Victim from New Zealand returns to T3K Recordings with a full EP after quite a while. But he landed on Vision Recordings, Citrus Recordings and PrgRAM in the meantime and also managed to level up his producing game again. Attention! New prototypes have matured in their capsules and are ready to be tested in tracks. After highlighting the necessary DNA sequences for the PPRFNK collective and the teaching staff of the Neuropunk Academy, we proudly present a unique strain of neurofunk and neurotech rhythms — the release titled "PROTOTYPES LP vol. 2", the continuation of the large-scale experiment born within the walls of Neuropunk Academy.

This release from Paperfunk Recordings encapsulates the invaluable experience gained by students and brought to life under the mentorship of NERV3, a seasoned producer who has already made waves with his releases on PPRFNK, Neuropunk, and many other labels. Under his guidance, 14 students progressed from their first synthesis attempts to creating truly groundbreaking tracks capable of transforming the perception of drum and bass music.

What awaits you in "PROTOTYPES LP vol. 2":
Bass structures, forged within the confines of students' skulls.
Rhythmic patterns, combining the innocence of a beginner with the bold ideas of someone diving deep into the world of production.
Technical convulsions — some tracks, both in arrangement and sound pressure, hint at the authors' wild imagination. At these moments, the map of their brain's electric currents probably goes off the charts.
"PROTOTYPES VOL. 2" is a collection of entirely different perspectives on drum and bass music, not necessarily conforming to any established canons. It provides a fresh take on various facets of subgenres. The most important thing to remember is that for many of the authors, this is their first release ever.

Project Catch-22 is a duo consisting of the 22 years old slovak "Secondary Attack" & and the 28 years old uk based "Sour Deezul". 
Both are already into the music production since a few years and Sour Deezul is also co-owner of HazedOut Records.
So it happened that they joined forces after a remix of Secondary Attack for HazedOut Records.
They share the same passion for fast forward Drum & Bass, which explains their idols like Billain, Noisia, Optiv & BTK.

Project Catch-22 - Years Of Research [RPBLOOD002]

PAPERFUNK RECORDINGS – is a dark drum&bass label which sound will be based on the hard and metallic techstep and neurofunk sound. There’s no place for popular sound. The label’s main goal is to flood cities and towns with the special mixtures containing nano-robots that supposed to get inside people’s brains and plunge them down in the deepest adolescent memories and show them the unrealized future. The hardness of the mix, the steel of the drums, the oil of the bass and the rust of the effects – are the main and crucial keywords of the PAPERFUNK label.
