Starting our 2nd drop of the now infamous Dirtbox Recordings Tape Pack Project, Things are hotting up with our releases from Shayper Titled "Iteration" and The Fi5th titled "Procedure"

V's 5 through to 8 land on this drop from both artists giving us vast coverage of multiple DNB sounds and styles throughout to help us culminate at the end of the year with 2 massive artist albums (We have something special in mind for sure just you wait.

Additionally now all tracks have added names to them for an individualistic look and to give it more noticability.

As we embark onwards of our 5th full year of running at Dirtbox Recordings we embark on, what can only be described as the most intuitive and ballsy project to date.

In this project what you can expect to see is a series of releases spanning 12 months. The first 4 are already out there and both artists will be dropping a single, on the 1st of every month still on our side project to Dirtbox no matter what day that is for the entire year totalling 12 tracks each.

This is first of all to create consistency for these artists on their release schedule, making sure both have monthly music out while also letting the audience know exactly when to expect the next.

The releases are ready to go now with all work within the background completed and waiting for each release to land on stores.

Additionally to this both artists are receiving a much higher cut than a usual label split while additionally we have managed to cut the majority of costs for the release to help push a lot more revenue through to the artist.

Very recently Spotify have decided to not pay for tracks streaming less than 1000 streams per year, in which from then that revenue generated will be spread out to tracks that do.

A very poor situation for producers and labels a like. But to counter this we are working closely with the artists to make sure their accounts on Spotify help to create a better chance to obtain streams through their updated profiles. consistent music released to incur additional playlist consideration.

Bass Infection is spreading out inexorably. Volume 3 of the album series launched back in June brings you another load of pandemic vibes and contagious beats from all around the globe – enjoy the outbreak!  
On the opener, Nakwan & Kryptomedic are teaching a lesson in how to “Bring The Funk Back”. Kryptomedic's instructions are carried by an atmospheric intro that's constantly building up tension to burst in a drop unleashing some serious fire. After having gained attention with releases on Renegade Hardware and Kinetik recently, young talent from Bratislava Kutlo is marching in with “The Raid”, a merciless Stomper driven by pan-pot-percussion and earthquake bass lines. TR Tactics do what they do best – disassembling the system in a fury and shifting orderly conditions to a “Chaos State”. Better run for cover when you see “The Swarm” coming up – Body & Soul let loose the Killer Bees. Finally, Netics, newcomers from Belgrade, are making their debut on Mainframe with Dropship, a fierce roller resembling the vibe of late 90s' Drum & Bass. Keep it coming!

PAPERFUNK RECORDINGS – is a dark drum&bass label which sound will be based on the hard and metallic techstep and neurofunk sound. There’s no place for popular sound. The label’s main goal is to flood cities and towns with the special mixtures containing nano-robots that supposed to get inside people’s brains and plunge them down in the deepest adolescent memories and show them the unrealized future. The hardness of the mix, the steel of the drums, the oil of the bass and the rust of the effects – are the main and crucial keywords of the PAPERFUNK label.
