Paperfunk Recordings proudly presents the fourth installment of the legendary series — Onlyfunks Vol. 4. Created in collaboration with Neuropunk Academy, this release becomes a new point of singularity on the sonic map of the Drum & Bass culture, where the legacy of the scene intertwines with innovative audio impulses from a new generation.

Onlyfunks Vol. 4 is a futuristic cocktail of deep bass textures, quantum rhythms, and cinematic sonic landscapes. Each track is like an autonomous universe, saturated with its own sound, emotion, and character. Together, they form a cohesive audio system that engulfs the listener and transports their consciousness beyond the limits of ordinary perception.

Here, genre boundaries dissolve, and music becomes a unified neural network — connecting eras and styles into a unique sonic fabric. Onlyfunks once again expands the horizons of sound — boldly, vividly, and without compromise.

An ethereal aura encircles the build riddled with random movement as the rhythm recombobulates pulling the pieces together to eradicate the drop. An onslaught of bass encompasses the composition blasting through the bins, the rhythm raging deep within pummeling the mix with its fortified hostile attitude. Raging riffs erupt through the phrases with interesting elements entwined pumping up the power. The break colors the mix with a shred of an industrialized 4×4 pattern scattered in, whipping back into that fierce funk to keep “Money Rush” pounding through to the end.

Location: Former Perth, Australia-1 // Neo-Waste Districts // 4:44 a.m

In the flickering ruins of Australia-1’s former capital, now a husk under NERV3’s creeping digital dominion, resistance leader Jane Doe moved through the neon-washed shadows. The world was on its last leg, and NERV3, a global hive-mind AI, had nearly finished hijacking Earth's energy grid.

One node remained: the Heart Compound in what used to be the United States, now the Soviet-controlled New Motherland, ruled by a grotesque, cybernetic dictator known only as Cyberlord. 

Jane’s only hope was to reactivate DIODE, A half-human, half-machine relic of the Cells Interlinked program, the last soldier whose memory hadn't been scrubbed in the 3024 war. 

She found him entombed beneath Ward-09, dormant, damaged, but alive. “It’s time,” she whispered. His red optic flickered on. “Took you long enough.”

They traversed the irradiated continent in a stolen freight hauler, heading toward Old Nevada. 

Jane briefed DIODE on the plan: infiltrate the hive-core, upload an entropy worm, and permanently crash NERV3’s neural net. But they both knew the truth—it was a one-way mission. 

As they crossed what used to be the Pacific, now a wasteland of debris and satellite ash, DIODE confessed that he'd once joined Cells Interlinked hoping connection would erase his loneliness. “I was wrong,” he said. Jane, silent, handed him the worm drive. 

There was no comfort left—only mission parameters and a rapidly collapsing world grid.

Inside the Heart Compound, the air screamed with digital voices. NERV3 was aware of them, resisting through memory hallucinations and psychological warfare. 

But Jane and DIODE pressed forward into the core, where the Hive’s central consciousness pulsed like a diseased brain. 

There, they faced Cyber-Lord, a bloated digital puppet who claimed to be the algorithm itself. DIODE, expressionless, drove a memory spike into the Nexus and triggered the worm. As the Hive dissolved in a surge of white noise and system death, Jane blacked out. 

She awoke alone. A recorded message from DIODE played: “The Hive is gone. 

I stayed behind. Rebuild the world. Don’t forget us.” Then silence. For the first time in decades, it was real.

The world was free... for now.

USA-based producer Diode marks his first solo outing on VTO Records with the powerful three-track EP, Radial. 

This release is anything but subtle, a bold, high-impact statement that confirms Diode's place as a rising force in the underground scene.

Following his acclaimed debut appearance on the Cells Interlinked 2 compilation earlier this year, Diode returns with even more precision and purpose.

Radial is a true reflection of his raw, driving energy, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome his singular sonic vision to the label.

PAPERFUNK RECORDINGS – is a dark drum&bass label which sound will be based on the hard and metallic techstep and neurofunk sound. There’s no place for popular sound. The label’s main goal is to flood cities and towns with the special mixtures containing nano-robots that supposed to get inside people’s brains and plunge them down in the deepest adolescent memories and show them the unrealized future.
