Born 1984, Dj & Producer from Paris. Brice aka Treex is involved into  Drum & Bass scene since 10 years, organising events with his crew Bass-Please, djing with french crews Amplitude, EN2, and more recently DNB France and WOBO playing alongside Satl, Hybrid Minds, Frankee, Skeptical, State-Of-Mind, EZRollers, Original Sin, Bailey, Humanature...
In 2011 he begins to produce Liquid Drum & Bass cause he feels at ease with this musical genre as he can mix all his musical influences together, from Hip-Hop to US Funk & Jazz!
Since then he has released tracks on several labels starting with the great Totaal Rez records, then Liquid Tones and now on some of the most important liquid-dnb labels like Soul Deep, his home-label and Offworld.  
He is also behind the "LIQUIDZ-SPIRIT" Partys and Podcasts.

Ackroyd is a London based Jungle and Drum & Bass producer with releases on Terra Firma, Proximity Recordings, Modular Carnage and Skankandbass. Here he returns with an exciting single ’Time’s Ticking’ which forms the last single in a rollout that will culminate in a compilation, exhibiting the collective works of five talented artists on Bristol-London breakout label, ‘Common Ground Recordings’. 

Common Ground was founded in 2020 as a cross-genre label, celebrating sounds that hit home to a common audience. The label will release a 10 track album ‘Unexplored Regions’ this year, featuring atmospheric, house, techno and jungle influences. After the debut release Common Ground will maintain its momentum with an exciting pipeline for the new year.

‘Time’s Ticking’ draws on Ackroyd’s coined style of dark, atmospheric and storytelling melodies but brings rolling amen breaks to overlay this theme, representing how his style has changed over the recent years.

PAPERFUNK RECORDINGS – is a dark drum&bass label which sound will be based on the hard and metallic techstep and neurofunk sound. There’s no place for popular sound. The label’s main goal is to flood cities and towns with the special mixtures containing nano-robots that supposed to get inside people’s brains and plunge them down in the deepest adolescent memories and show them the unrealized future. The hardness of the mix, the steel of the drums, the oil of the bass and the rust of the effects – are the main and crucial keywords of the PAPERFUNK label.
