This is the 1st track and a gentle and warm piano solo song included in '24 Piano Sketches' that is a new solo album from Yuki Murata, the Tokyo-based pianist/composer and member of the cinematic instrumental music band, Anoice, and its side projects, RiLF and Films, who fascinates music fans in the world by her lovely melodies and piano sounds.

As the name suggests, '24 Piano Sketches' includes 24 piano songs which Yuki Murata plays improvisations on her own grand and upright pianos. This long project is going to add 2 songs every month and ultimately 24 songs in one year, allowing the listeners to feel the changing of the season in real-time via the beautiful, warm, and sometimes melancholic piano sounds.

This time, she purposely selected a cassette tape recorder, a MiniDisc player, and an early generation of iPhone as the recording equipments for each song, unlike studio albums from her own bands such as Anoice. These retro and simplistic recording devices were able to capture not only a creaking noise coming from the piano and the environmental sounds outside the window, but also a noise occurred by cheap microphones, which make this album so impressive. Its nostalgic soundscape may remind her listeners of her first solo album 'Films' and second solo album 'Home'.

Longing — sorrowful, yet so beautiful.
It comes without a sound,
suddenly, like light touching water,
a heartbeat caught between then and now.
Moments return —
one by one they rise,
drifting through the mind,
echoing softly in the heart.
Piano keys fall like quiet rain,
the wind brushes past the window,
light spills over the scent of tea.
Each note carries a breath of memory,
floating, falling, floating again.
I miss not only you,
but the self I was —
the one whose heart burned bright,
whose eyes were clear as dawn.
As the melody flows,
and every note begins to dance,
she wakes — gently, silently —
within the music,
and breathes again.

思念，憂傷又美麗。
在某個瞬間，猝不及防地發生——
是曾經的一個個瞬間，
在腦海浮現，在心裡迴響。
如鋼琴鍵輕輕落下時，
風掠過窗，光灑在茶香之上，
回憶的氣息在音符裡浮起又落下。
想念的不只是那個人，
也是那時候的自己——
那個心跳熾熱、眼神澄澈的自己。
音符在空中飛舞，
曾經的她隨著旋律悄然復甦，
再度——輕輕呼吸。
