The Purplechickens is an independent rock group from the Philippines known for their complex pop structures and impressionistic lyrics swathed in soundscapes.

Its members are Aldus Santos (voice, guitar), Marco Harder(guitar), Mikey Abola (bass), and Zig Rabara (drums). 

The group formed in 1997 at the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City. They have since released three albums: "Here's Plan B" (2003), "Girls, Et Cetera" (2008), and the upcoming "Haláng" (2014).
