Our first new song as Watchglass reunited. This started as a single idea that came to me through pondering another duo, Moon and Aries, who make music, separated by half a planet and yet not separate at all in their vision and shared passion. We hope you enjoy!

photos are memories I keep within my mind
stored in the basement in a crate I’ll never find
songs are the stories and the places I have been
authored before this mental knot I’m tangled in

poets and prophets weave our words into their art

Gosh!  Over a year since I've posted a new song!  It’s been a rough few years, but for me, the past 6 months have been particularly hard.  

This song was written ages ago, but I wanted to record it, just to have a copy for myself.  It’s a one-take piano/singing thing, with flaws but a sense of the underlying feeling.  While I was producing it, it developed a life of its own.  I had thought I’d rock it up with quite a conventional sound, but the drums and bass insisted on having their own unique flavours – ribbons of synth.  Aah well, here it is, a bit rough around the edges but at least I can feel that I am making music again...  thanks so much for listening!
