The original „Night Flight“ is one of Alex Barck’s (Jazzanova / A&R @ Derwin Rec.) latest discoveries. Alex found this little masterpiece by Quintus Project in a second hand shop and we simply had to re-release this beautiful shimmering piece of balearic soft-tune. The original „Night Flight“ was released in 1987 on the Quintus Project album „Moments“ (limited to 300 album copies!). Mastermind of the project 
was the German musician, composer, producer, arranger, engineer Walter Quintus, a musical multi-talent. Born in 1949, he collaborated until now with a diverse assortment of great musicans from around the world like Richie Beirach, John Bergamo, Phil Brown, Eric Clapton, Michel Godard, Gary Moore, trumpet player Markus Stockhausen (son of Karlheinz Stockhausen) and many others....

Homework - unlike their lower case counterpart that serves as the agony of school kids everywhere - are responsible for shaking up house music in a big way in 2010. Calling their “Fissa Tune” EP on Exploited Records a “breakout record” might be an exaggeration because it’s hardly the duo’s debut. However, the title track showed a comfort and skill for transforming a Romanian traditional oboe song into a full body shakedown jacking house track adorned with guttural yelps, and “I Got One (You’re It)” loops a warm soul diva vocal into the kind of siren song that could seduce any kind of dance floor. It was one of those EPs where you couldn’t even choose a favorite because they’re all so good. Following it up with an equally heralded EP on Made to Play and a big, wild, often unexpected remix package on Exploited, Homework (comprised of Zip &amp; Tom) succeed in something many other people haven’t lately; making dance music that’s equally satisfying for your feet and brain. With a full schedule of international gigs (including Berlin's Panoramabar) and top remixes in the pipeline (Round Table Knights a.o.), Homework provide a unique and diverse sound and guarantee serious business behind the decks. As a teaser for their next EP on Exploited, to be released in February 2011, we present you with "Lenny", which takes Lenny Kravitz’ seminal track “I Belong To You” and turns it into something infectiously catchy. Whether its "true revision" or “the ’stick a kick drum on it!’ philosophy”, Homework have taken a commercial hit and turned it into something so lush that maybe even Larry Levan might have played it out. They took those 90's sentiments and rearranged them to be retrofitted in this era; pure revisionist nostalgia. Although in the end, it’s all about the way it makes you move.

« Hôtel Costes presents... » is a collection of exclusive music recorded at Studio HC, the hotel studio, and composed by Masomenos and guests.

The first opus, 12 days a week, sounds like a modern tribute album to the chill out vibes of the Hôtel Costes legacy music collection.

Masomenos, composed of Joan Costes and Adrien de Maublanc, has a long collaboration with the french hotel music history. In fact, they have been in charge of the Costes presents serie, a minimal electronic oriented serie of albums by glacial, seuil and themselves, that hosted their first music project called “Costes presents BON VOYAGE”.

Since two years now, they have located their studio in the Hôtel Costes extension that have been on works, and named the place Studio HC. The music they produce there has shifted from a clubby energetic vibes to
a textured and organic down-tempo mood.

This first album @ studio HC definitively marks a new era in Masomenos sound.
