Native State Records is proud announce a new EP from label creator Bluetech.  Blending his signature digital melodic style with rooted low end and hyper-detailed sound design, this EP is a 34 minute teaser into the creative mind of one of today’s most respected downtempo producers.

Containing 3 remixes and 2 originals, ‘Basement Dubs’ gives a taste of both of the forward thinking downtempo dancefloor worlds to be featured on the upcoming full length album ‘Illuminated Gates’, as well as some of the emotionally resonant ambient soundscapes that are contained on the impending full length release ‘Dreaming Into Being’.

Opening track ‘Abakus – Cruise Control (Bluetech Remix)’ establishes the territory with strong dubwise 70 BPM digitalia, before leading in to the moody and atmospheric futuristisms of ‘Basement Dub’.  Elsewhere, ‘Adham Shaikh – Carpet Breaker (Bluetech Remix)’ explores a future bass take on some serious gypsy funk, flirting with the listener through plucked strings and psychedelic arpeggios before the break, finally busting forward in a polychromatic orgy of jacked gypsy stabs and tweaked grooves.  Closing up the EP, ‘Thrios’ and ‘Midnight Sound Service – Imperio In Imperium (Bluetech Remix)’ fills in the dual poles of Bluetech’s love of forward thinking dancefloor beats and slowly evolving spacial ambience.

Whelp, the world is opening up. It's time to take to the streets and the dance floors once again. Just remember that the pandemic isn't over for everyone. For the immunocompromised, it just got scarier and more unpredictable. Now that we are all okay to shine our lights bright in public again remember that love must include making our loved ones safe by continuing to practice caution and creating safe spaces for everyone. As we burst from our bubbles of confinement after so long let us do so safely and compassionately.

This mix is a tribute to every stage we missed dancing in front of at all the festivals that couldn't be for the last 2 years. Over a dozen genres with lots of bass and lots of love. I hope it can lift some spirits and help some of you release the inner goblin after being in a cave for so long <3

A Rude Awakening [LostInSound winter 2014 compilation]

This one is straight up for my leftist fam. Hard-hitting party bass for activists. For the people with any recent college or university education, including those who took solely business, finance, or other capitalist propaganda, that have been able to read through those lines and see the systemic predatory colonial BS therein and inevitably become Marxists whether you know it or not.

This is for those fighting for the unhoused, the evicted, and the renters who watch as their dreams of home ownership get further out of their reach every year. For the downtrodden, the marginalized, and the disabled who face barriers to fight for themselves, and those of us who, despite anything and everything that might be holding us down, refuse to stop fighting when it all gets to be too much, because every breath we stop to take lets the capitalists press their boots harder on our chests.

It's about realizing that we are never going to seize the means of production and our power from literal psychopath billionaires peacefully before it's too late and if we are to save the very world itself we must be willing to use any means necessary to tear the system down. No patchwork bandaid can fix a broken system. We must Defund, Decarbonize, Dismantle, and as a last resort, Destroy. Life as we know it depends on it.

Deep baselines and thundering bottom ends combine as dub, tribal, world, funk, hip-hop, and techy elements infuse her music. Dela’s sets are a lyrical and psychedelic experience that reflect her resolute positivity and energy for life.  This extended mix features a heavy dose of bass in realms of half time/drum and bass, which was played at November moontribe, and re-recorded for Through the Streets. Since 1993, Moontribe’s full moon desert gatherings have been at the core of Southern California’s underground electronic music scene. She is no stranger to the West Coast Bass sound, being the label director of a prolific outlet focusing on that, Street Ritual as well as label DJ for Shanti Planti. Her unique approach to the dancefloor has taken her across the USA, Australia and more, playing bigger stages every year. She turned down a notch her frequent dancefloor oriented output for this mix, and she takes us on a really interesting journey through some of her favorite sounds.
