Paradox Please formed in July of 2011 in New Brighton, Pennsylvania. Their music shows a variety of influences 
ranging from progressive rock to indie music with multiple people referring to their music as drastically similar to Muse 
and Radiohead; albeit with a heavier sound. They are regularly billed as an alternative rock act and their attention to 
lyrical content and musical structure has helped grow a large and diverse fan base.

Prior to forming each band member was in different projects before drummer Chad Leonberg and bassist 
Brittany Glitsch came together to form base of what is now known as Paradox Please. To complete their lineup they 
brought in guitarist and lead singer James Beswick due to vocal range, impressive guitar playing and dynamic stage 
presence.

Since forming in mid-2011 Paradox Please has played many significant venues in the western side of 
Pennsylvania ranging from Mr. Smalls Theatre and Club Diesel in Pittsburgh to Club Radioactive in Erie. Their main goals 
as a group is to create thought provoking lyrics, intricate music arrangements, and a live performance that envelopes 
the audience.

They recorded their three track EP, Project 139, in early 2012 and it was released March 1st in both digital and 
physical format on iTunes and Amazon. In August of 2012 they embarked on their first tour; a 9 show, 10 day tour 
through Pennsylvania, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Michigan. After their tour they played at the Liberty City Music Festival 
at The Legendary Dobbs in Philadelphia, PA and recorded their newest single ”Singularity” in Columbus, OH with a 
release date set for November 1st. In addition they acquired Paul Abbott, their Tour Manager, as the Manager of 
Paradox Please.

After the release of Singularity they are following through with a significantly large promotional campaign in 
Pittsburgh and Erie while supporting the release with regional shows in the tri-state area of Pennsylvania, Ohio, and 
Michigan while getting ready to record another three track EP in early 2013.

Koop's eclectic, witty, soulful, original songs and engaging performances are the reason why Funcoast Magazine called Koop “Proof that folk music is alive and well” and Nashville insider Richard Helm called Koop a “Groove Dawg!” 

For over thirty years, Martin Koop has been writing gritty groovy songs about life and love, performing for audiences at festivals, wineries, pubs, house concerts, listening rooms, and street corners.
