I did a thing! So I started off initially with the multiple forms of echo 2 to be the primary lead which was onyl eq8'd and reverbed with in sample pitch shifting - the second layer of echo 2's acts a nice bedding of weird background bleep bloops, and last layer as a mild backup to help support it when needed. this just had some simple reverb and multiband for sidechain as well. The main beat was just the drum grooveswith more sidechain for the bass later on and a simple eq to filter out the main residual noise. Then I tied this with a few bass hits, snares, brushes and the stick clicks to get the rhythm whilst also added the sub texture and groove. Once all that was eq'd right and given the special effects it added to the feel but still needed something special - so thought of GTA haha and got a flexatone put in with some changes added in and that just gave it the little something (I think). But either way super fun to create and hopefully adds a little electro feel to it as well. But regardless enjoy! ^^

Delightfully simple beat, eroded kalimbas, nicely toned guitar from Kontakt, gospel+choir courtesy of the workhorse Omnispehere, hours spent whittling out lush pads in u-he Hive

Used the vocal and synth sample from the pack, the synth is heavily disguised as subtle ambience, but I promise you it's there propping everything up nice, yeah? 😉

Would be very happy for anyone to pipe out some bars over this - I can be very flexible on the structure and mix to accomodate the writing. DM me and lets collab!

The scratching sounds and vocal chops are not frozen, so this mixdown is dynamic and will scratch/chop differently every time... I'm happy to resample these for consistency but at the moment I love that it's kicking out a unique mix (fabfilter Timeless 3 and beat repeat magic...)

Cableguys Kickstart because sidechaining doesn't need to be hard.

So this turned out to be an oddity, but after it began tumbling in some direction I did best I could to carve out a melodic journey that unsettles the yuletide spirit at first, then resolves into those familiar festive vibes...

As the beat develops, one of the 15 bar melodies is used wholesale and chopped up to introduce some new melodic context... then we slap you with some familiar festive hooks blending in to transform the flow.

Sleigh bells samples used, obviously. Bass drum also. Trumpets from Hark the Herald angels as provided in the pack. Fudged the tubular bells in ableton sampler for the intro lead line. 

Used tubular bells from the ableton stock for the switch up melody... woodwinds also in there. Followed top tips from Mr. Bill to optimize the sub, shout out to Slynk also for his handy HaaS width tool, imo it gives presence and character to mid sub harmonics...
