This song addresses the fact that many men don’t have time for their wives because they have so many other tasks to do. 
The original scheme of the music and the text (with the exception of the very last verse) was written by Henk de Bruin (from the Netherlands). He also is the lead singer in the first part of the song. The music was complemented by drums, bass, organ, guitars, brass etc. and further improved by Klaus Blume, who also  added backing vocals and mixed and mastered the song.

Ich muss noch Gedichte für dich schreiben,
meine Liebe zu dir gibt mir Lebensinn.
Aber du wirst wohl leicht begreifen,
dass ich mit anderen Sachen beschäftigt bin.

Ich muss immer noch deine Schönheit modellieren,
in Marmor, wie eine griechische Göttin,
aber du musst doch bei mir akzeptieren,

Ich wollte für dich eine Ballade verfassen,
aber dafür fehlte mir einfach die Zeit,
und alles was ich am Ende zurücklasse,
soll verschwinden in der Vergangenheit.

Dass ich mit anderen Sachen beschäftigt bin,
das ist einfach zu erklären:

Man nehme als Beispiel Marlene Grabherr,
die Gewinnerin von „Wer wird Millionär?“.
Sie  starb ziemlich verarmt  und allein.
Solche Sachen zu verfolgen, kostet sehr viel Zeit!

Man nehme als Beispiel Andrea Kempter´s Aktfoto,
welches in einer Qualitätszeitung gezeigt wurde. (Bild, Bild, Bild)
Ich sah das beim Ausfüllen des Fußballtotos.
Das alles zu verfolgen, kostet sehr viel Zeit!

Dabei spreche ich noch nicht mal über Fußball.
Durch die vielen Stunden, die ich für unsere Mannschaft aufwenden musste,
Hatte  ich keine Lust mehr, dir ein Gedicht zu schreiben.
Das ist doch leicht zu begreifen, oder nicht?

Und dann auch noch die Politiker,
die vor allem ihre eigenen Taschen füllen,
wenn Sie über Gleichheit und Frieden sprechen.
Ist es dann seltsam, dass ich noch keine Statue für dich gemacht habe
oder ein Porträt von dir gemalt habe? Nein, ist es nicht! Nein, nein!

Und dann haben wir noch die Corona-Krise im Land.
Und Trump lässt den Biden nicht ins Weiße Haus,
der ist eben krank.

Und die Seen in Brandenburg trocknen durch den Klimawandel aus,
und alle Airlines am Flughafen Berlin-Tegel müssen raus.

Die Region Grünheide in Brandenburg wird durch Tesla zerstört,
und ich habe von der Abgabe des Doktortitels von Franziska Giffey gehört.

Ach herje, was wird jetzt aus der SPD? Nichts!

Da ist es doch kein Wunder, dass ich keine Zeit habe,
und unser gemeinsames Kaffeetrinken einfach absage. 

Pöh! Ua!
