Phyzikal Flex delivers four bombs from his vaults on this 12”. The EP features two revised and polished versions of his album “Keeping It Real Since 92” on Doom Chakra Tapes from 2017, plus two unreleased tracks - all now for the first time on vinyl. 

Parallax & Doom Chakra joined forces on this PARADOOM 0001 release in order to finally release these four long-awaited gems on wax. The release will be delivered in a unique hand-sprayed sleeve, each record will be hand-stamped and will also include a batch of collectible stickers from both labels.

Myles Avery is a producer, sound designer, and engineer based in Los Angeles. Since his debut in 2017, Avery's work has appeared at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The Performance Arcade in New Zealand, and he has continued to advance his career as a producer and writer, collaborating with artists across the indie-pop landscape, including NPR-darlings Overcoats, Valley, Mako, Wingtip, ELIO, and others - and landing various commercial placements with clients like Netflix, XBOX, Space Jam, and more.

Returning to his solo output for us, 'Aldana' is a seven-track opus, combining his compositional expertise with uncanny dancefloor sensibilities. Across the release, bliss ambiance meets lush soundscapes, hypnotic rhythms tangle with hair raising breakbeats, and modular synthesis moves in tandem with carefully considered arrangements, all combining to create a deeply personal and moving collection of music.

From the opening 'Sparks' through to closer 'Liftoff', this is music crafted in equal parts for body and mind.

The city lights flashed by in a blur of colours, their reflection painting shapes on the windows. Lost souls and sober faces rubbed shoulders, forced smiles and vacant eyes met across the carriage. One journey was different to the next, but here everyone was bundled together trying to find their way somewhere unknown. Where were they headed? Where had they been? Each had a name, each had a story to tell, each had fears and desires that bubbled below...

Brighton-based producer WDDS has an elegant yet straightforward take on jungle, DnB and breaks. Recently he's contributed to a compilation on Dublin label Woozy, while on his own imprint he's been churning out a series of floaty, atmospheric singles that fill you to the brim with nostalgia. The next is 'Subway', which began as a voyage into melodic breaks but took a turn into no-nonsense jungle territory as part of WDDS' live set. It might be more of a heavy hitter than his previous outing but it still retains that inherent dreaminess we've come to associate with his music.

Skins continues forging his own path with a new label celebrating the uplifting and futuristic sounds of jungle, with a four-tracker featuring tracks with early support from DJs at the leading edge of the new wave of jungle such as Tañ, Mixtress and Frazer Ray through to revered names like Paul Rhodes of 2 Bad Mice.

Whilst some will know Skins from his run of self-released white label techno EPs or 2021’s underground hit 24 Hour Dub, more recently he has turned his attention back to the music which made him fall in love with it all in the first place:

“I vividly remember the effect that the futuristic sounds of 90s jungle and drum ‘n’ bass had on me as a kid, hearing snippets of tracks in video games and later stumbling across artists like Alaska, Future Engineers, Seba, Peshay and LTJ Bukem. After years engrossing myself in the cavernous spaces of dub techno, this record feels like a return to my roots, bringing my style into a new arena which still feels like home. The label will serve as an outlet for this and future collaborations with like-minded producers.”

Route R is the second track from the forthcoming inaugural release on Skins’ new project Sauce Direct Records. The label is set to draw from the sounds and energy of classic jungle, with an emphasis on colour, excitement and most importantly, fun.

The track opens with a pulsing, sparse and echo-laden drum pattern, which slowly fills out and is joined by an arpeggiated synth line pulling us along to the breakbeat section. From here we travel deeper, driven forwards by a powerful undulating bassline, until we are greeted by uplifting pads and layers of rich, emotionally charged harmonies.

After a brief moment lost in space, we are plunged back into the bass and breakbeat groove for a few more minutes of heads-down action, before a familiar synthesiser line brings us back home, from which we set off, but somehow different…

Nørus, the solo project of music producer Felipe Bortoloti, is about to release his new EP, 'Surrounding Sequences'. With previous releases on renowned labels such as Nerang Recordings, Gestalt Records and Deviant Episode, Nørus is known for his creative versatility and ability to produce various genres of music.

His new release could be described as a blend of IDM, Braindance, Breakbeat and Techno. The EP features three original tracks and a remix, in which Vitor Munhoz, Nørus's partner at Somnum Studio, creates a version of 'Brainsuckers'. The entire Mixing and Mastering process took place at Somnum Studio, which has branches in Porto and São Paulo.

'Surrounding Sequences' will be available in vinyl format in a limited edition of 100 copies, making it a unique piece in the collection of any vinyl and electronic music enthusiast. However, for those who prefer digital streaming platforms, the EP will also be available on all of them next April 21st. Pre-orders are already available on Bandcamp, and it is essential for genre fans not to miss the opportunity to acquire a physical copy of this musical masterpiece.
