Veteran producer, three times award winning Jungle-/Drum and Bass-DJ and Born On Road Records owner Aries combines the sound-system culture vocal of the already huge original by Brain Brainstorm with a moving bassline straight out of the Mariana Trench. Whilst the vocal melody pays tribute to Sade’s classic “No Ordinary Love”, the lyrics encourage you to play sets in your own style. To top it off, the Aries remix is fueled with crunchy Jungle breaks, gliding mid-ranges and driving modern-day Drum and Bass rave infusions.

This is no ordinary sound, indeed. It’s a message tune which will stand out in every dj-set and will get instant rewind requests.

Jappa and Napes bonded over the love of a greasy spoon full English breakfast before they jumped into the studio to cook up some bangers it only seemed right to name there debut collaboration 2 track single after the thing they loved most. It´s a 12 Bit Jungle Out There and it´s touching down on Parallax! 

With releases on PPJ Recordings and Foundation Records and a strong online presence, you can´t escape his Amiga productions right now! His style is unmistakenly his and this EP gives a nice oversight what he´s capable of: great musicality, punchy and juicy breaks, boomin basslines, interesting and unusual arrangements - but hear for yourself. This was a long time in the making and we are happy to finally bring 12 Bit Jungle Out There to your eardrums. 

Your whole life is 'Just A Dream'! This tune was the initial reason we reached out to the man. We saw a short videoclip of him in his hardware studio presenting a rough sketch of it and immediately fell in love with the retro sample paired with the boomin bass, lazy drums and melancholic pianos. It drops superheavy into machinegun amens, 'Right now ya baaaad' vocals and will leave you disoriented until the piano returns to catch you from stumbling over your dancing feet. It´s an adorable tune with just the right mixture of light and darkness again.
