His style is unmistakenly his and this EP gives a nice oversight what he´s capable of: great musicality, punchy and juicy breaks, boomin basslines, interesting and unusual arrangements - but hear for yourself. This was a long time in the making and we are happy to finally bring 12 Bit Jungle Out There to your eardrums. 

Your whole life is 'Just A Dream'! This tune was the initial reason we reached out to the man. We saw a short videoclip of him in his hardware studio presenting a rough sketch of it and immediately fell in love with the retro sample paired with the boomin bass, lazy drums and melancholic pianos. It drops superheavy into machinegun amens, 'Right now ya baaaad' vocals and will leave you disoriented until the piano returns to catch you from stumbling over your dancing feet. It´s an adorable tune with just the right mixture of light and darkness again.

His style is unmistakenly his and this EP gives a nice oversight what he´s capable of: great musicality, punchy and juicy breaks, boomin basslines, interesting and unusual arrangements - but hear for yourself. 'You And I' closes the EP in style. This tune is totally 12 Bit Jungle Out There but the way he places things reminds on Lemon D´s way of writing tunes, think I Can´t Stop or Manhattan Melody. Jazzy chords, housey male vocals, and rising and falling harp sounds set the scene and build tension. Just when you´d expect it to drop superhard it surprisingly drops into a dry stepper, only to catch you with an unexpected amen later in the tune. And just when you thought that this tune has all the elements it needs it drops a third time (!) and a hard reecebass cuts your head off clean. A style not revisited so often and a deadly weapon when placed right.

The immensely talented Finnish producer Mineral returns to Codename: RCRDS fresh from his recent release on Metalheadz with the stunning LP 'Expand The Orbit', and as long time fans of Mineral's unique sound we are delighted to be able to feature him on the label in full length form.

'Hyperspeed' opens the EP on a high with its bouncy dancefloor sound and earworm synth lead perfectly setting the tone, before 'Lost' brings us into the classic Mineral stylings of lush pianos and immaculate rolling breaks. 'Galactic Assault' does exactly what it says on the tin, with storming futuristic synths preparing for attack. 'Adrenalin Levels' shifts things into a darker Techstep direction before the subtle beauty of 'Invisible' reveals itself.

As we move into the 2nd half of the LP 'Stars' draws once again into the artist's signature territory with intricate interwoven melodies and tight drumwork, before the retro-styled rave up 'Stab Request' moves up back towards the dancefloor once again, and the tear-out vibes of 'Partial' hit heavier still.

The LP starts to take a deeper rolling edge with 'Negotiation 17' before heavy duty rollout 'To Expand The Orbit' takes us to the edge of space with it's crunchy breaks and sparse bleep-era vibes, bring us towards the darker edge of the journey before the stunning lush melodies of 'Universal' end the album on a euphoric high.

An stunning album from one of the nicest people we've ever had the privilege to meet in the scene - big up to Ilkka for such an amazing body of work, we are incredibly proud and humbled to be able to release this on the label.
