Dino Lenny returns to Crosstown Rebels with his latest single ‘I’ve Learned That’, accompanied by remixes  from Shadow Child and Jonathan Kaspar - plus his own take with Fed Conti. 

A regular on labels including Afterlife, Ellum, Innervisions, and Diynamic, London-based Italian-born DJ/producer  and Fine Human Records boss Dino Lenny’s solo and collaborative catalogue continues to grow as he features as  one of the most consistent names within the worlds of house and techno. Having released his first EP on the label  in 2019, he now returns to Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels for a second outing with the release of his  touching new single ‘I’ve Learned That’ - which is one of a collection of records dedicated to his daughter - with  remixes from Shadow Child, Jonathan Kaspar, and his own interpretation alongside Fed Conti. 

“My daughter Victoria is seven years old. Since she was born, I always felt I had to make sure she knew  about me straight away. You never know how much time you have. At first, I was going to write a diary  with all my thoughts and stuff like that. But if she’s a little bit like me, she’d probably pick up the book a  few times and leave it there. So I decided to transform my thoughts for her into songs. ‘I’ve Learned That’  is one of those.” - Dino Lenny. 

Shaped by emotive piano keys, blooming strings and refined drums, ‘I’ve Learned’ showcases a rich and  heartwarming production taking cues from dance music and beyond as the track’s uplifting and inspiring vocals  carry the production across nine minutes of delight. 

Beginning the transition towards more traditional electronic spheres, his remix alongside Fed Conti utilises vibrant  guitar licks and a luminous bassline to head into a late-night discovery of disco influences. Next, Shadow Child’s  ‘Classic Mix’ is a skippy house gem as bumping low-ends work amongst hazy chords, with Jonathan Kaspar’s  remix moving deeper via surging synths for a hypnotic and thrilling ride to close.

Roland Leesker drops second single 'Let It All Go' feat. Dan Diamond from his upcoming artist album.

Get Physical Music's Roland Leesker has been the powerhouse behind the imprint for many years. The German tastemaker has not only curated the label's output, but has helped define it with his own music. Whether working solo or in collaboration with icons like DJ Pierre, Roland Clark and Terrence Parker, his sounds have a timeless quality that matches that of his DJ sets. After helming the label's 20th-anniversary compilation back in 2022, he will return in August with a full LP, ‘Searching For Peace’.

There is great craft in the epic eight-minute 'Let It All Go' feat. Dan Diamond - a chugging disco-house track with great structure that soon sweeps you up as the hip-swinging drums and tumbling arps drag you in deep. The spoken word vocals muse on the politics of the scene and the need to get back to focus on music as dazzling cosmic synths bring light and hope. As tension builds and the synths take over and turn acidic, dance floors will go to the next level.

Remixing is the Rekids label founder and ever-green house and techno talent Radio Slave. His super rework ups the pace and dubs out the drums, so they hit that bit harder. The vocal remains, as do the warming synths, as it surges on a smooth and uplifting groove.

Thomas and Julien are Dutch brothers from South of France. They propose either Hybrid DJ or live acts cutting from Jazz, House & Techno  mixing several genres while keeping this uplifting, dirty and groovy feel. 

Passionates in authentic sounds, they produce their music through field recordings. Their video concept "A Day In” translates cultures through field recordings and collaborations with local and traditional musicians. They already have concluded first collaborations with Gnawa musicians in Morocco, Huichol tribe musicians in Mexico, Icelandic choir, and musicians from Osaka, Bengalor, Fiji Island, Bangkok and more. 

With releases on Crosstown Rebels, DGTL, Sapiens, Bar 25 and their own imprint, Klassified Records, the two brothers also run the Klassified Studios, a co-creative space in Amsterdam.
