A trim and shifty bass line pops and flexes under a finger snapping snare and sixteenth-note shuffles. Boogie Vice, N-You-Up Feat. Mx Blouse drop an electric cover version of an iconic Jungle Brothers tune. 'I'll House You' is an enduring anthem that gets a fresh modern update plus three different mixes.

Boogie Vice hails from Paris, and since debuting a decade ago, he has lit up Beatport charts, combining fresh nu-disco and house styles in unique ways and has released on the likes of Busy P's Ed Banger Records, Amine Edge & DANCE's Cuff and Miguel Campbell's Outcross Records. He has previously released on this label alongside Sensual Sounds head honcho Deep Aztec but now works with South of Fracas star N-You-Up. He has been DJing since 1996, first as hip-house artist The Beatangers, but with this alias returns to his roots and blends jazz, funk and disco on labels like Nervous Records as well as Get Physical Music.

The Jungle Brothers dropped their legendary hip-house hit single 'I'll House You' in 1988, and it became an instant classic. Now, it has been reworked for contemporary floors in fine style.

This innovative rework keeps the original vocals, which are so full of sleazy attitude, but layers in a wonky melody line, slows the beats down and builds them into a funky and low-slung groove. Extra raw percussive hits and seductive synths all help make this a brilliant rework that, with the standout vocals, is sure to become anthemic in its own right.

After that comes a drumapella which beefs up the kicks as the original vocals remain in place up top. Then comes a Dub Mix, which is more paired back but with big bounce in the drums and only fragments of the vocal littering the mix next to the loopy groove. Finally, the Hope Street At Night mix is stripped right back to a shuffling and minimal groove with icy pads and late-night menace completely flipping the vibe.

He's an exceptional producer and DJ with the most impressive musical knowledge I've ever known. A die-hard fan of Inland Knights, you can instantly feel that influence in his track Let It Go. Thomas and Julien are Dutch brothers from South of France. They propose either Hybrid DJ or live acts cutting from Jazz, House & Techno  mixing several genres while keeping this uplifting, dirty and groovy feel. 

Passionates in authentic sounds, they produce their music through field recordings. Their video concept "A Day In” translates cultures through field recordings and collaborations with local and traditional musicians. They already have concluded first collaborations with Gnawa musicians in Morocco, Huichol tribe musicians in Mexico, Icelandic choir, and musicians from Osaka, Bengalor, Fiji Island, Bangkok and more. 

With releases on Crosstown Rebels, DGTL, Sapiens, Bar 25 and their own imprint, Klassified Records, the two brothers also run the Klassified Studios, a co-creative space in Amsterdam.
