Using the vocabulary of jazz, electronica, minimalism and free improvisation, l| parallel lifeforms l| is the project of percussionist and producer Balázs Bank, teamed up with singer/violinist Viola Okos. The polirythmic layers generated by digital and analog synthesizers are contrasted by evolving grooves and improvised woodwind parts, displaying the continuous interaction of the constant and the changing. The most important inspirations to their music has been the work of Portico Quartet, Bonobo, Avishai Cohen Trio, Esbjörn Svensson Trio, and American minimalism.
