Parallel Sound System - Electronic Dream Pop band from Dubai UAE

Parallel Sound System is a 3 piece Electro Dream Pop band from Dubai UAE that consist of Christianne Alvarez on Vocals, Mckie Alvarez on Synths and samples and Cromwell Ojeda on Synths, Samples, Guitars and Beats.

It all started as an online band project where we create our music on our spare time from our bedroom studios. We just make beats whenever or wherever we feel the vibe to create something. Sometimes you'll see us on a cafe sampling some beats or even on a train station humming some melodies. When we got something good out of that, we send it to Christianne to lay over the vocal melodies. Its a really easy process as we don't need to book studios to create music. We can be all living half way across the globe and still make music! Its the way to move forward with all the technologies today. It makes it easier for us and more convenient to make music.

The band concept on stage is to mix ambient electronic music with psychedelic visual graphic while they perform their songs live. They have been invited to some of Dubai's progressive art communities such as The Fridge and Ductac.

True to their name, which translates into plus-minus, Zaed-Naes oscillates across several elements. Featuring guest musicians or vocalists, their project derives its energy from constant motion.  Since 2013, Zaed-Naes who contributed to the emergence of the middle eastern underground music scene, has been creating experimental electroacoustic performances throughout intimate venues and festivals.
Narrowing down the group's style proves difficult, between Basel Naouri, Amjad Shahrour, and Ammar Urabi, they bring together elements of jazz, trip-hop, loop-based electronica, and post-rock to form a unique sound -guided by local and regional influences.
