DEDR 15th Year Anniversary Demo, Mixed by Si-Dog

This set was created with so much love and appreciation for our beloved siStar Funkbaby. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about her and grateful for knowing her. I played this set for DJs Giving Back Twitchmas 2022 last month. I intentionally had Funkbaby in my mind the entire time picking out all these songs for this set and imagined her dancing to them. This mix is filled with breakbeat and house love and funk with 2step, 90's UK Oldskool, and Jungle Flava sprinkled throughout. A few of these gems were given to me by Funkbaby and I felt her very close while creating this mix, Funkbaby Forever. ((( ❤️ )))

Lanx and Nick Slater, aka the Drumattic Twins, have been a leading force in dance music since they first began touring over 20 years ago. Making their name as Shades of Rhythm, they ruled the early nineties rave scene with legendary anthems ‘Sweet Sensation’, ‘Sound of Eden’, ‘Extacy’ and ‘Homicide’ and performed with the likes of The Prodigy and N-Joi.

Since rebranding themselves as the Drumattic Twins in 1997, Nick and Lanx quickly replicated this global notoriety thanks to massive hit tracks ‘Feelin Kinda Strange’ ‘Twister’ and ‘HyperSpeed’. They teamed up with the legendary release platform Finger Lickin Records in 1999 and settled quickly into the close-knit world of the breakbeat scene, working alongside global acts such as Plump DJs, Soul of Man and Lee Coombs.

From a string of releases from 1999 starting with top the selling "Feeling Kinda Strange" till late 2013 with their "Get Up and Dance EP" on Sugarbeat Records and 2 full length albums in between the Drumattic Twins have laid down a variety of music that have influenced the Breaks Scene and shaped it in to what it is today.

When founding member George “Rican” passed away in 2021, Andrew decided to honor his best friend by continuing to play events and music streams as Paranoid Androidz. The legacy project evolved into an amazing opportunity to build a vibrant Twitch community and to spin alongside influential DJs like Darude, The Crystal Method, DJ Icey, and Keith MacKenzie. The vibe is funky, groovy, uplifting, sometimes ethereal.
